I'd agree with you if it was last season, but we are not going to be as predictable any more. The emphasis will not be around the ruck.

I cannot really see anything other than a Saints win, but you never know. Your attack needs to improve massively from what was seen at the friendly (it was a friendly I know...), it was very ineffectual.

Ironically would prefer us to beat broncos at home the following weekend. Will take a committed performance at saints , but as a footy manager once said " I'd love it , just love it, if we beat them"

London might not be the soft touch first up at home they would have been in previous years and a thumping at Saints might not put us in the right frame of mind.

Need to put everything into upsetting the odds on Saturday and hopefully getting on a roll but the downside of what may happen if we have a sticky first few matches does not bear thinking about.

More than ever this year - think we need to keep the faith in the first couple of months regardless of results. Team will need time to gell and as all rl fans say its not how you start the season , it's how you end it that matters - it does require patience , loyalty and an optimistic belief.

like espanyolswan says london wont be a push over at the start of the season they have had a good pre season over in france and will look to hit the ground running unlike last season...the lower teams may want to steal a march on the others that are looking to finish strongly and look to win something. they fade at the end due to the squad depth.

i think out of the 4 games in february if we win 2 it will be good if we win 3 very good.

not just about stopping roby in saturday....puletua, gaskell, manu and lomax to name a few!!

in all the times he's played against us for cas,and hull, we have never got to grips with willie manu,he is one player that seems to tear us apart everytime we play against him.
saints have lots of danger men,picking out and concentrating on nullifying roby is suicidal IMO.

manu and puletua...watch for the offloads!

It's nice to look at our (Saints) bench and see some strike power on there for a change.

Stop Roby getting out of dummy half,stop them getting a roll on.After all we are going in with a big set of forwards this time who need to dominate.

Time for them to stand up and be counted,first game or not.

The home game last year was low scoring and we won and if we are to do so tomorrow I feel we are going to have to do it the same way again (and perhaps a Brough kick hitting both posts and the crossbar will be a good omen for us too)

Very true on form you would have had Saints London and Hull KR as certs but perhaps a kick up the after a poor pre season is what sides need....if the same is true once the season has started we shall probably see when London arrive and how they react to todays dissapointment.
