| rumour mill again trying to unsettle a team thats doing well makes it worse its by our own fans
only the other weeks we had brown announcing hes going... and taking players to saints! (mason a possible and gilmour)
moore coming to the giants is the favourite of all the rumours as nathan brown has spoken about it to the press
as is purtill coming to the giants to assist anderson as it was in the examiner..which personally i think would be a great move!

Done deal. I was told on the 12th, same day as the Moore/Lunt thing. Purtill must be frustrated as he was the main man when they both took over when JS was sacked. Sliding doors and all that.

| Lunt is on loan to Leeds like many have said, he is looking for a permanent deal at Leeds though.

| As a Leeds I don't understand this rumour and had to check it wasn't April 1st.
Why would you allow/want Lunt to leave to replace him with Moore?
What has happened to Lunt and why has he fallen out of favour/form?
When he first came on the scene he reminded me a lot of Roby and I thought he was going to be a major SL star for years to come. What happened? Did the overnight success go to his head and he thought he'd made it and stopped working as hard?
Also I don't understand why Leeds would want him with Burrow, McShane and Hood to play hooker. Leeds see McShane and Hood as their future so cannot see why they would risk loosing one to accommodate Lunt?
Granted Lunt has done more in SL than either Hood or McShane yet but this seems an odd move for both sides IF true

| I don't think Giants don't want Lunt, seens more like Salary cap manoeuvres. As for Leeds, they would be the big winners, yes Hood looks a great prospect, but is young and needs careful developing. McShane however does not look to me like he has developed as Leeds hoped.
Lunt on loan looks great for Leeds, a proven Hooker now, which strengthens them in the short term and buys time to develop Hood, who is a genuine prospect.
An interchange of Lunt and Burrow is really strong . That worries me.

| I hope that we have it built in to the arrangement that LUNT cannot play against us all season including CC and playoffs.

| Old news now, but rather than a form thing or out of favour. Perhaps he wanted to go? Put it to bed now and lets move on!

| Lunt is a good player but not a patch on Robbo.
Robbo can do 60 mins (80 is too much). Clearly Lunt was not happy with 20 mins.
As a back rower Lunt is way down the pecking order - would have molloy ahead of him there - maybe Leeds will give him minutes there.

| Really gutted to see Lunt go and I just hope Moore can grow up, stop being an idiot and get back the form that he showed with us when he was here before.
I hope our coach has got this right and Moore repays Brownies faith in him

| Oh dear! Not sure about this news. Hope it doesn't effect team in a bad way. I rate Lunt highly and think Moore switch could disrupt team a little.

| Heard from a Players' Agent that Eden was on the verge of signing long term.
Is this the further announcement that RT was alluding to?
Lunty should get out before this degenerates into Andy Raleigh situation, which left a lot of people very upset.
It was no way to treat a good local lad.

| Ooh Eden to sign long term. That would be awesome, thought brown would try steal him for the saints team. If Lunt is just for a loan then next season Baloo might want him to be more involved next year if that what Lunty wants.

| Lunt to Leeds then elsewhere
I suppose there will be a lot of people upset but Lunt was always behind Robinson, Faiumu & Lee at hooker. As for the 2nd row position, he was a long way behind most of them
All will be ok though and everyone will be forgiven once Greg"Billy Slater" is signed up long term, Fairbank & Walker & a few other possible newcomers for 2013

| Interesting events whilst Ive been away on hols!
Was a big fan of Sean two years ago but he has had to compete against three high performers this year. Just surprised he has gone with Lee being injured.
Think Moore is a backwards step. I know he did well a couple of years ago but recent history suggests he is more of a liability. However, I am sure NB can coax him back to the player he was. However, a single seasons deal is interesting - Does this mean PA is not convinced that Moore is a suitable long term signing?

Could mean allsorts of things:
the club want him on a short cover deal to see how he goes
the club want cover til Lee is fit and then have Moore as cover til season end
the club want cover and have someone lined up in 2013
etc etc
I would be gobsmacked if this move had not been discussed and agreed by the coaches and the senior players.

I think the short term deal is so that Moore can prove to the club that he can turn things around and start behaving himself. Hope Lunt does well wherever he goes.

| May also be that Nathan brown and baloo see Faiumu as cover at 9 and Lunt saw very limited game time in 2012. If he was unhappy with things maybe he was keen to get out on loan. all speculation by us.
Thought Fooey showed some great touches at 9 versus Hull.

| lunt out on loan then, couldnt have moore and lunt due to salary cap reasons
lunt has fallen down the pecking order at the giants, behind robinson, lee and faiumu
had great first season, started talking about going to play in australia but nothing thereafter for whatever reason
anyway its a loan but prob wont return but anderson can decide what he wants to do at the end of the year....keep lee? keep moore? or return lunt? choices!
we havent really missed lunt have we this season? top of the league
