It doesn't matter what team we put out, what tactics we make. All they need to do is know that every Man, Woman and Child in Huddersfield, Wigan, St Helens and Leeds will be supporting Huddersfield. They need to realise if the Giants are ever going to win the Super League, it's now, this year.

Im not being hard on Lawrence as i really rate him very highly. It is me who keeps comparing him to Gary Connolly. The problem is he is out of position on the wing .

In the first half every time there was an attack down the RHS Cudjoe and Lawrence constantly looked confused. Poor communication between them and you could almost tell by looking at their faces they were thinking . '' do i come in

do i stay out'' whilst cudjoe was thinking ''is he coming in

should i go wide

They looked like rabbits in the headlights. I got the same impression at the Catalans game as well.

maybe Brown is right they can work things out. maybe Cudjoe will become a good centre I just do not think that the play offs is the time for them to be practising.

I felt that Cudjoe was at his most effective when playing as a winger and Lawrence was better at centre.

Prior to the play offs i know we had good scores against wakey, salford etc BUT TBH they were not in the same class as the teams we have to play now. we are not going to get 10 chances to score against Wire we have to make sure we take the chances we do get.

As i said at the game on saturday crusaders strangled our attack and nullified our main men - brown and fooey in particular, nothing to do with team selection i dont think, we looked surprised by their performance and couldnt get a foothold in the game - Saturday will hopefully see 1-17 in that jersey pumped up to the max !!

oh and i agree about swapping Leroy and Bruno around too.

in what way? i thought he was ok and put safety 1st in defence, didnt show much ina ttack but neither did the rest of the team in all honesty !

stick macgillvary in for d hodgson, done nothing wrong and should of kept his place in the team

brearley84 - y do u have such a big problem with david hodgson every week its slate him for what ever he does. his a good winger no he may not run 100 meteres up the much stepping past 10 players in the process but he makes sure the ball is safe scores plentys of trys n has good exp

And he takes in plenty of drives each game to spell our forwards, and makes plenty of meters doing it too.

That said, Wire are a speedy side on the flanks, and McGillvary(sp) has the pace that might be needed against them.

Tough call (and neither one will outjump the Wire wingers)

Go for experience every time. If Mcgillivary was to come in (which he won't, it would be for Lawrence). Why would any team consider dropping their leading try scorer for their biggest game of the season.
I really think the conditions contributed to our poor performance on saturday. I think the game plan will have been to get it wide early to expose Crusaders slow back line and keep it away from their pack. But the rain made this difficult and they failed to adapt their game plan.
I expect a much better performance this week.

Personally I prefer the Lawrence/Hodgson combination.

So do i, Gilmour gave hodgson nothing on saturday, I think if its dry on saturday i would bring Jermaine in for kirmond, we might need the extra pace in the backs.

I've never understood Dodgy's lack of pace and reluctance to run more than 5 metres in one go.
I remember one instance when he was turning out for the Reds, he ran full length of the park, made us look a right load of plodders.

They swapped Lawrence to other side last game played together cos he kept running Hodgson into touch and not creating owt for him.

We were very poor against Saints, as usual so should be really fired up for Saturday. Should be a cracker.
