Could the fee be a deal struck to pay part of Kirkmond and Korki's wage without affecting our own wage bill. This would if we are in fact subsidising the 2 "loaned" players to Wakey take them off our wage bill and free up extra wages to bring in new players if needed. Just a thought as I don't believe transfer fees paid go towards the salary cap.

Surely any amount that Huddersfield are subsidising of Kirmond and Korkidis wages counts towards Huddersfields salary cap. Having already the largest squad by far in super league i don't think the could do this and stay within the cap.
Transfer fees do not count in the salary cap which may be why in this case Hudderafield have agreed to pay a fee.

the salary cap is live so i doubt Huddersfield have broken any rules , btw as with all clubs cleaners , Secretaries don't count

What i'm getting at is if we've agreed to finance part of the wages for the loan signings to wakey a so called "fee" has been agreed and paid for Brough just to cover the loan players salary's so in fact we've got Brough for nothing and paid a lump some to wakey to cover those players wages, it keep us well within the cap and maybe enable us to bring in someone else if needs be. Wakey benefit from having Korki next season and Kirky this season. A good deal for all concerned.

Robbo has been playing at 7 and 9 this season, he has known about DB coming as has been mentioned in the Huddersfield Examiner over the last fortnight, he even said his dad said his game was more suited to playing at hooker plus he has just signed a contract extension

cant see robbo been that upset to me hes played like a hooker since he came to club, so with him and lunt at hooker, plus drew in the wings what a class act that looks to me. ithink it could push robbo to the same level as jimmy lowes who started as a half back and ended up international hooker.
