to be fair our support at Huddersfield was poor this season so we have nothing to shout about really

from what they used to bring in the early days, rovers support has been poor for a few years at our place now.

cant blame people for not turning up last night, I certainly wasn't gonna pay £20 for facilities like that.

Not sure what the problem is. Ask your fans who went last night about the view they had along the touchline and they'll speak very favourably on the view. The south stand wasn't open and I don't think the club had any intentions of opening it.

Craven Park isn't segregated and I don't anticipate that it will change when the new stand opens.

Easty: The view on the side was crap. You couldnt see half the ground because of the Perspex cycle shelters the players were sat it.

I had no problem going when the golf stand was up as even though facilities were basic, the view, albeit, from behind the posts was fairly good. when the new stand is open,yes I shall return to craven park.

Brearley - they didnt open the south terrace because we hadnt sold enough tickets to warrant it is what we were told.

The view was ok down the side - if you were 6'4 or over ,or if play was in the same half but a bit silly to stick the bus shelters in the middle like that, why not just at the side of the tunnel ?

I dont know why KR fans cant see why fans wont come to their ground - it isn't rocket science after all

I've thought this for a while but Hull FC and Hull KR should merge and play at the only decent venue in the area the KC.

Take no notice of KR fans, they are in no position to have a dig about attendances.

I'm an FC fan and live 5 miles from Caravan Park and I refuse to pay to get in aswell, never mind the petrol money anyone else would have to consider.

What is bizzare is they average about 8000 each home game including away fans, yet more than that turn up to the KC on Derby day?

I won't of course suggest that is their cup final each season though as that doesnt go down well.

I thought yesterday was their cup final the way their fans/staff and indeed Radio Humberside reacted !

We do realise but what could we do? We got promoted and priority had to be the home areas and the team on the field. We settled down found our feet extended the East stand and then built the North stand which will be open for next season. Think you've been a little harsh with Rovers. Many teams have promised improvements and never delivered Rovers have never promised and not delivered.

Jimmy Carr doesn't go to the KC either

Easty - i weren't having a go at the club, as i actually said last night with the new stand its actually looking and feeling like a proper stadium should, more a dig at the morons who come on having a pop about how few go - not just our club but most clubs away support is down when at Craven Park - its pretty obvious its not a lack of fans but the ground they're expected to to go to that is putting people off going.

They dont seem to get that the 'your support is crap' line they come out with is actually more a case of 'no, your grounds crap and we dont wanna waste our money'

FWIW last year was the 1st time i've missed an HKR away game in SL.

I see, Apologies. Just winds me up when people slate Craven Park. The grounds a million miles better then when we where in the National Leagues but most people never actually saw what the ground was like back then. If they did they'd see just how far we've come.

Friday night as the first time in the last 5/6 years that i chose not to go to a Giants game. I know Hull KR are making changes to their ground which is great, but for the time being is is a waste of £18 to stand in the Giants end behind the sticks. I went last year and it was a waste of my time and money as i could not see a thing. I know many other Giants fans did the same thing.
All the best for the rest of the season and i look forward to sitting in your new stand next season.

I've never had a reply from the RFL nor HKR regarding my comments and complaints last year!

i know, we didnt sell enough tickets to open it apparently so were just letting everyone pay into the well.

.... And we didn't sell enough tickets because noone wanted to stand there!
I seem to remember we were the first side to use that stand as the works started part way through the season- as well as the (non) view the toilet facilities were woefully inadequate and the stewarding was appalling, they refused to allow me to take my daughter into the main stand to use the toilet facilities there insisting as the chemical toilets weren't big enough for us both to get in they insisted I let her go into a chemical toilet by herself (thats safe) or left the door open whilst she dropped her pants (really!) now I'd hope that following the mass of complaints from our fans (there were plenty - and you weren't the only one to receive no reply/acknowledgement Ivor) you'd hope that for subsequent matches they improved on that first visit for other sides who followed us. Unfortunately the damage had been done and KRs woeful management of those complaints did nothing to encourage us to return. KR simply failed to make the most of a bad situation and have lost revenue as a result.

True...most people i know who go to most away games refused to go on Friday due to last year.

They didnt feel they got value for their money so have voted with their feet this time.
I wouldn't have gone if i'd have had to go in that stand and maybe if others knew they weren't opening it might have gone...either way KR lost out.
