If making comment about an area of the club that badly needs improving is whinging then I am guilty as charged, but I stand by my opinion that we are very weak in the PR department, and they are letting the team and coaching staff down. As for the Sky teams comments - they may be right in what they say with regard to the crowds but they have made a big thing of this for years while not passing comment on other clubs - and surely they are there to promote the game not constantly criticise. I hope we win the hub cap and then GF and prove games are won on the field not in the stands.

Do you think it is time to looking into building a smaller ground only a 8k stadium then it would look full most matches then if Leeds or a side where there going to be a bigger crown use the bigger stadium. I am Cas and know how hard must for the club because I work with a few Huddersfield people they all talk about Giants but never go.

Rovers aside you have been one of the better travelling clubs we've had at the KC this year so it is obvious that the core support is there. I saw somebody mentioned the bradford attendance of 7,900, that contained a fair amount of Hull fans too so that figure was perhaps inflated by that

cheers for that... its something that goes unmentioned, out away support has improved alot in recent years, the core is there it just looks so bad in a 20k seater stadium

woud love us to build our own purpose built 10k stadium at fartown or woodfield park.
sadly though we are stuck with the predominately blue and white John smith's stadium..

compared to some figures at our place for so called bigger clubs, I don't think we are doing too bad in the away crowd stakes, however im sure because we are top of the league it wont be good enough for most people!

I remember Sky passing comment on our lack of travelling support but that is a criticism that cannot really be levelled t us now. I would imagine that in percentage terms of our home crowd our away support is pretty high up if there was a league table. Strangely in recent years it seems the away support coming to Hudds has dropped (a contributory factor to drop in attendances) while our away support has increased.
I'm sure some of this has to do with atmosphere for us because at most grounds now the away support is ushered into one area, and where that isn't the case most generally congregate in the same place - i.e at Cas down the side opposite changing rooms.
Smaller ground would be great - to be honest the Shay would be good.
Or wouldn't it be great to develop either YMCA or Lockwood Park where the basics are already there, and it has been proved at the YMCA that League and Union can work together.
Both will be non starters but its a nice idea.

The away support is definitely much improved compared to a few seasons back.

If we win owt the RFL will insist on a media blackout!! Stevo will crawl back under a stone in his Rhino shirt and all England will ice over.

Don`t know what all the fuss is about playing in a half empty stadium. The Aussie clubs do it on a regular basis when they play in large stadiums.
We have a good international stadium ( some clubs have to have them ) it is just a pity the Huddersfield public don`t fill it a bit more. But it is not a problem, people should understand no club can fill a big stadium our size.

Neither of them are vying for top spot. That nice Mr Stevo is correct in what he is saying. If FC (OR KR for that matter) were top of the ladder they would pull in well over double the 5000 that showed up at the Cas match.

Agreed but they don`t spout on about, and there are quite a few low crowds as well as great crowds, but it does not seem an issue over there.
