Absolutely awesome from the Giants today - very impressed with how we kept our nerve at the end - great performances from 1 to 17. Larne truly is a GIANT and scored two superb tries. Signs are good for the season with all the new boys playing well and the youngsters stepping up really well.

Special mention to Eorl - put in a long stint, and came back again late on. Best I have seen him play ever in the leadership he showed and set a great example for the rest of the team.

Every one played well - great win that to be honest I could not see coming. Really glad to have been there today and that will live long in the memory.

Well done to all players. That performance was sensational and i can only think of two mistakes the whole game.

Both from eden early on but he his inexperienced but was solid from then on and looks a really good player.

Larne was amazing when he came on. That sidestep will be remembered all season and to say he has come back from injury early then fair play to him.

Eorl for playing 65 minutes. We needed someone to step up in the pack and he did. He was amazing.

Broughy - kicking game was amazing. Every kick but 1 found the ground and organised the whole field.

Jerry - catching them 2 balls at the end, smashing tomkins and helping our forwards out. Top player and he played well.

Rest of lads did their bit and the whole 17 deserve a pat on back. BUt im sure brownyn will have them working hard this week and getting ready for the vikings.

I thought your kicking game was one of the big differences between the 2 sides, Brough controlled things from start to finish and really helped you set the platform for your attack, your defence/discipline was solid. We on the other hand couldn't put any pressure on yourselves and when we did get chances we was put under pressure by your defence which was always up in our faces which often resulted in us making errors which is great defence. Good victory considering the players you had out as well, going to be an interesting season!

You guys where superb yesterday. If you can keep brough fit you are going to be right in the mix once again. I was also impressed with Larne Patrick! That kid could be pushing for an England place at the end of the season.

Although we lost, its good to be back watching a propper sport! I shall see you lot at the Galpharm later on in the season.

Sounds like the sports psycho is getting the belief back.

After a performance like yesterdays then we could be in for the best year yet!

However, it will be interesting to see how we play Widnes next week. Lets not waste this amazing start to the season

Here we go again , we slowed the game down blah blah blah , it took wigan 5 minutes at one point to form a scrum they were that `pooped`

Wow what a performance by the squad! I was a bit concerned when grix was moved from fullback but Eden played really well after a shacky start. Eorl had plenty of game time and didn't he produce. Larn was awesome and that side step v Tompkins was brilliant to watch and even better on replays.

Thought back 3 looked good and any high bombs were easily defused and they all looked very comfortable. Danny's kicking game along with grixs nicely placed kicks were awesome.

The whole team deserved it along with the back room staff who helped get this win. Team spirit was there to see when gilly scored 1st try and at end in a group hug. Great turn out by the fans, roll on next game.

Highlight for me was larns try closley followed by tompkins getting smashed by jerry.

That was a huge win by your boys yesterday, already a few people on the Wigan Site questioning Wane's tactics.

Highlight for me was the Wigan fan after the match trying to convince me and Meast that Eorl Crabtree was signed by Hudds from Wigan 4 years ago!

He even wanted to put money on it!

The video did confirm a forward pass in the buildup to Patrick's first try, as I thought at the time. Ah well, you win some, you lose some.

Credit to the Huddersfield lads singing on the train to Manchester, probably the best rendition of "Boom, Shake the room" that I've ever heard.

We've certainly lost a few to Wigan from forward passes so its nice to see the balance redressed

taken me til now to come round from that performance, superb from 1 to 17 thought all the new boys were top class, broughs kicking game again showed why he should be englands no 7, thought eorl, chan and fairbank were awesome in the forwards, and the back 3 of eden, jerry and luke george were top class, only 1 overseas player again as well, as ivor siad it was a joy to watch us playing rugby and not one man drive and kick.

"The Video" did no such thing, simply because it cannot, which is why forward passes are not referred to Video ref. A 2D image makes it extremely unreliable.

The pass may or may not have been forward, I don't know, however your judgement at the time is more likely to be reliable than than video for these decisions, I can't really explain the inner workings of the human brain, but for some reason with a 2D image spacial relationships can be confused you can see what you expect, but perhaps the Giants got lucky with that call, we will be unlucky in others, that is certain.

Tbh there are numerous passes each game that look forward to me, especially out of Dummy half. Like many this one wasn't called by the ref or linesmen.

You could equally speculate that had Farrell been sin-binned or sent off the Giants would have won by more! That wasn't given either (ironically had he been sin binned he would have missed 10 minutes not this weeks match which is somewhat iniquitous).
