If a judge says you provide documents you provide them and the Giants didn’t and then had to be ordered again and as a result of that had to pay extra money for trying to avoid giving information to the court.

That is incompetence or naivety of the highest level.

Yesterday’s hearing was told that before the Giants’ last-minute disclosure of documents, Mason had offered to drop the case for £100,000.

The Giants offered just £5,000.

Yesterday the judge ordered the Giants to pay Mason’s £146,510 damages within seven days.

The club had previously been told to make a down-payment of £35,000 towards the legal fees but this was paid several days late. The judge ordered a further £5,000 be paid.

Whether or not Thewlis was personally responsible for any of these issues is pretty irrelevant, he is responsible for line managing those who did. When an issue occurs within a government department that causes scandal it's the minister that gets the chop (and i'm sure the minion responsible but that is never published). By the same token Thewlis should have gone long ago for allowing mismanagement underneath him. That's what comes with being the man at the top. Maybe he will get the chop if we go down, but i doubt it, he does seem pretty bulletproof, and i agree that unless changes from top down occur very little will change at the giants.

Last i saw you could remove injured players from the cap, thus Cudjoe Turner Furgy and Uate, would not count. Lot of money there.

If Mr Davey did not want to fund this thats a different matter

Think you can apply for cap relief if a player doesn't/will not play at all, however all have, even if Cudjoe and fergy have only played 100 minutes between them they will still count.

You pay the full salary on the cap if a player plays so we couldn't just take them off cap or every club would do it with injured players
