The whole episode stinks, don't think the club can preach about anybody elses moral standards after this self inflicted farce.

It just wouldn't seem like a normal season if we didn't have some kind of drama at some point. Roll on sunday where we can focus on whats on the field.

Well if you're happy with the comment not being libellous. It's not as if you've a history of legal errors......

That would only cover the costs not the damages. If you had EPL insurance this may cover the compensation element otherwise the club will have to pay it

I cant believe the club have actually come out and defended their decision with all this morals crap - yes we are a family club but they are also a business who have broken rules and being found guilty of breaking rules !!

They should be apologising to the fans, the sponsors, the local community etc for:
A) sacking Mason unfairly
B) tapping up Koppy illegally
C) bringing shame, embarrasment and un-needed bad publicity to all the good thing we have done.

I'm no legal person or businessman but just reading what happened was enough to tell me we were in the wrong and gonna get buggered - so why didnt the top people at the club stop and think about what they were doing for a second?
Did they really think that what they did was ok and wouldnt be found out ?

Dont get me wrong i love this club to pieces and would die (i nearly have) for it, but i cannot help but worry for the future if people paid to run it are making huge, costly errors like these.

As a fan I do feel ashamed of what has happened at our club, we seemed to be moving in the right direction but behind closed doors the club's management has been a shambles. I genuinely felt that if we could win one piece of silverware this season, combined with a decent season ticket offer for next year we could push on and increase our crowds.

I am generally a very positive person, but can't help but think this whole fiasco is going to set us back quite a lot both on and off the field.

Add to that Ken standing by us being wrong, you can't help but think things might get even worse.

a few decisions by the club this pre season prob prepared us for losing and paying this fine off...

odonnell released... he was on circa 200k a year, that will cover a fair chunk!

also

greg eden, he had his contract renewed after being labelled the new billy slater, so say he was on 50k a year? with the new contract if not more? and hull kr paid us a fee for him too so we could of already got the money stashed away to pay mason off.

still a shame as it could of gone elsewhere!

whoever decided to pay mason 95k a season needs some talking to aswell and maybe his wages dropping ...thewlis!? nathan brown would of had a big say in masons contract too at the time wanting to keep him.

The whole thing looks as big a shambles as our attempts to find a half back. It's a shame for you that in a year when on the field is going about as good as it's got for some years. Off the field it's been a bit of a Carry On sketch.

I'm sure the bill will be footed though, should not impact on the field.

The sacking for a bum pic was a bit of a gimme for Mason, given the whole club does mad monday. Our Perry got a ticking off for a naked run, but that was from a copper not the club

I have just been back on the Giants website to read the 'club statement'. Yep, it's still the same. It shouldn't be. The management of the club needs a serious shake-up. At best Davy is being misled. At worst, he has lost the plot.

OK Bulls will get nothing. Any payment should go to old Bills to pay off their creditors or maybe the fans of other clubs who dug deep to save their club....including many on here.

At least you'll be comfortably aware where our portion of your Sky cash went.
