Yesterday was just like Salford. An excellent travelling support let down by an atrocious performance.

To be fair that was mainly the young kids in our crowd, the rest of us were telling them to stop being stupid as it could easily come back and bite us on the backside - it did !!

Another good away turnout , another shocking away performance !

how many do we normally take and does anyone run a coach or coaches ?

Depends on
1, who were playing
2, when were playing
3, what the weather is like
4, how much the admission is etc

I would say we have a hardcore away support of between 3-500 for most games - usually the same faces at each one !!!
As for coaches, the club do run some and there are private ones too but do tend to fill up quickly

For most away games we usually take about one coach which we never fill, everyone could have a window seat each. I always go on the coach to Leeds and St helens due to lack of car parking and apart from the play offs last year it was just one coach. It depends on the importance of the games. The private one's dont run everyweek so people are not going keep using them due to lack of constant travel to away games. The club charges quite a lot for the distance they cover, if they halved the price of the fare and doubled the amount of people on them then it would be better all round, the club i guess pay for the coach's up front so they are always losing out when the coach's are not full so it would be better to still make the same loss but have a increase in people on them,

You dont have too aslong as you get to the games thats the main thing, but for those who usually dont they best way is on the coach and the club need to do more to get people on the coach's, i always think children go free will help.

The club coaches are too expensive!! Take leeds on Friday £8 each so a family of 4 would have to pay £32 ( no consessions) when it'd be so much lesser to drive and park. Also A family Day rover is £8.80. Ok it's a friday night but still it's still a tad over the top! I did a comparison with Town coaches and they get charged per person so much less for the same miles. Maybe a different contract but still Town still dont fill every club coach!! Another thing some folk don't like the cliqueyness of the club coaches so avoid at all costs regardless of the cost!

i would have to be REALLY REALLY stuck for transport before i would consider going on a club coach again,luckily the private coach i go on is usually full,your allowed to have a laugh and a sing song etc,we arrive in good time for a pre match drink ( or 2!) and we dont have to be back on the bus within 2 minutes of the final hooter,therefore being able to have a post match drink, its usually considerably cheaper than the club coaches too,most people i know who travel on the club coaches dont have a good word to say about them.
i agree though that the club could do more to encourage our fans to travel
