There are easy points on offer down our right edge. You won’t even need to work hard them.
But our forwards are hard to contain. If they all play well, there’s not much let up with Watts, Millington, Cook, Clark and/or Moors interchanging at prop and Sene-Lafeo, Holmes, Milner and possibly McMeeken in the back row.

Well half time- Huddersfield look the better attacking side but find themselves behind. That first disallowed try was a joke- how was the Cas defence impeded when they were 20 metres away!!! Need to change that ruling- also that embarrassing one that leeming won a penalty on by throwing the ball at the player in the floor. Don’t like to see it.

A tough win. Need better 5th tackle plays. Maybe try to kick the grabber into a gap rather than at an opponent.

The culprits were stupid enough to post photos on Facebook of them transporting the flares to the ground and then of them setting them off.
Needless to say the club now have screenshots of these Facebook posts, so they’ll be banned.

Ta'ai and Matagi outstanding. I thought we would struggle with only 3 props compared to cas 5/6 but great effort from all the forwards.

Also, how good was the tackle from o'brien on milner at the end.

Plus the double shot from wardle and Matagi on Clark was brilliant.

Simon questioned their resiliance early in the season well last night showed we have got that, we never gave up and gave the cas forwards a right smashing.

It’s a pity I can’t get to evening matches because of work commitments, but at least I got to watch it.

I have to say, I never thought McIntosh would make an SL level full back (always felt he’d end up as a centre, possibly even international level centre) but he’s proving me completely wrong. He’s obviously put a hell of a lot of work into his positioning and high ball catching.

One of those things it’s nice to be wrong about. Let’s hope I was right about the international bit though!

Our pack last night was immense. Really glad that Matagi is starting to put in runs like his highlights video showed he could! Ikahihifo looked back to his belligerent best, swatting off defenders and causing some carnage in the middle as well. Much better from Uate as well, i think summer is going to bring a lot more from him when it finally arrives. I'm pretty sure we would have beaten Wakefield comfortably if Gaskell had played, maybe Holmes will be a decent replacement when he has another of his inevitable 1 game absences, which i dislike, but i guess that's going to be how it is with him. At least he's good when he does play now.

matagi may prove a good one yet, just goes to show the overseas players can take time to settle in
