a good win for the guys tonight in a very physical encounter, hull seemed intent on trying to bully us into submission but it didnt work.thought the ref and 1 touch judge were particularly poor,and we showed some touches of real class with some of the tries. |

| Good game last night. Thought McGillvary was outstanding last night creating, scoring and with a great try stopper too.
Hull lost plot in 2nd half due to Giants quick Try from KO and there No14 going in with elbows all the time was poor, plus another player kicking out when Kyle went over to score and in the process hurt he's pinky
Great to see so many faces last night and a special mention to wadski on a romantic night out with the Mrs only to cut it short and come up for 2nd half. I cannot believe you made her bring her pudding up with her to the game! |

The Huddersfield Giants under 20's side produced a strong performance to beat Hull FC by 33 points to 14 in Thursday's Play-off Eliminator. The victory sees Brad Drew's side progress into the next round of the play off series.
A large crowd at the Huddersfield YMCA's Laund Hill ground saw the Giants beat their Hull FC counterparts with stand out performances from Jermaine McGillvary and newly crowned 'player of the year' Jacob Fairbank.
Tries from Greg Worthington, Jamie Cording, Jay Senior, Kyle Wood, Jermaine McGillvary and Perry Whiteley saw the Giants progress to the next stage and despite the dismissal of Dave Orwell with 20 minutes to go, Brad Drew's side ran out as victors. Four goals from Greg Worthington and a drop goal from Keal Carlile completed the scoring for the Claret and Gold.

Went up to watch witht he kids, first time seen the Academy play this season and really enjoyed it. Keal Carlisle had a great game as did Jermaine McGilvery to name just 2 in a great all round performance.
Huddersfield took it to the much bigger Hull team and scored some great tries.
