I'm not over reacting.... I know I'm putting forward a worst case scenario. But if Brown AND Balloo go who is our rudder? What's going to persuade players to come to this club and to stay here? Not their captain, that's for sure!

I believe Tony Smith and Nathan Brown are head and shoulders above anyone else in Super League. We need someone of their calibre to replace Brown. So who?

The next six months are, IMHO, the most crucial for this club in the Super League era. And I think Ken Davy has to plan for crowds being at the level they are now, not 10k. Unless we win the SL Title or the Challenge Cup.... but even with the squad we have we're going to need a fair old slice of luck for that to happen. The loss of Hodgson to a SL rival is bad news regardless of the reasons given to the press.

As Crackers has said more than once, the most important factor in getting bums on seats is having a proper trophy winning side. Real contenders, Ma!! We're on the cusp of having a team that can do that, with a coach who has instilled something extra into his squad. Another false dawn would, IMHO, be a huge step backwards for Ken's aim of bringing more regular fans into the Galpharm.

I wish Ken all the luck in the World. And I hope my worries are unfounded. But I am worried.

Brett was defiantly injured he had a slight strain but wasnt risking it today but will be fit for next week. Bretts words after the game today not mine...

now I know you like to troll the leeds board as often as possible but I wanna talk rugby here. if you think you gave brown a brake your a bit off the mark to be honest. Been head coach at SG/Ill was his real brake. After a rocky start by the end of his time the club, fans and players were gutted to let him go. He only lost his job because perhaps the greatest rl coach that ever lived was available and got his job. you are lucky to have browny as would any sl team! I would love him at Leeds. I have thought are hudds a team that will kick on without him? or go backwards?

Page 6 of this week's RLE has an article where the Giants say Brown is not leaving at the end of this season.

What I was trying to say was there were 3 or 4 in the running for the Giants job shortlist all aussies, the apptitude test we did (same as one done when T Smith was appointed IIRC) showed Browny was the best man for the job, hence we gave it to him, his break in Super League.

I am sure when the time comes we will be looking to appoint the right man again to continue the improvement seen over recent seasons at the Giants.

Wether that will be Baloo or someone else who knows? at present we don't have to worry about that.

Baron Greenback, you need to relax a little. Faiumu, Anderson and both Browns all have contracts for next year

Danril, there are no problems re Faiumu, it's more of a matter about the player and his family which is the same as Nathan Brown. Situation with Anderson is a potential head coach position and if he wants to take it.
