as i've posted elsewhere its quite clear the stand was just over half full,and like i also said,well done to the ones who came,but lets not pretend you filled the stand like some hull fans claim ( as usual).
also to shirl, if the police were advised that 2500 were coming by coach thats a hell of a lot of coaches?

Although why you have to keep going on about your support is beyond me. we have all acknowledged it is better than ours. Cant you go off and get a better caravan than your neighbours or compare cock sizes with your mates. You are all becoming a bit tedious now and we have got to deal with your inbred cousins for the next week.

the tops and middles of those 3 centre sections were busy but the fronts were sp as were the end sections

TBH I don't think our away support is that bad compared to other clubs. Having been to all but one away match this season yeah it is the same faces but they're the consistant ones so we have a steady base of fans who follow away! And thats steadily increasing so it's not all doom and gloom.

While our away support increases other clubs away following is decreasing, many other clubs used to say we were an expencive ground to come to as their excuse for not traveling but it's now that, we're one of the cheapest, especially if it's families attending, yetthe away stand is having less and less away fans attending. Leeds for instance used to bring upto 6000 meaning that other areas would be needed yet the last time they came not even half that amount. Bradford were another. So while the away following is decreasing our home attendance is still increasing at the same time.

People will continue to criticise until it is so blatantly obvious to all that we're better than we were that there will be an epiphany and they will start chucking crap at someone else. I look forward to that day.

and it was just about if not under half full!!! That makes it Hull bringing about 6,000 and we had just short of 2,000 there. Its not a bad support from us as we are the worst supported club in super league by a country mile







The only time Hull filled the away end was when they ripped down the sticks and gave rl a bad name live on bbc!!!!!

Fed up with all this Giant support bashing. We're a good team who has loyal fans and we'll get better season on season. There are not many clubs who have grown like us over the past 10-15 years!!!!

that dont matter to the bashers joe, we could be getting 15,000 every game and we'd still get slagged off for it, no doubt by fans of certain clubs who are averaging LESS than we are and who had no intention of supporting their club a few years ago when they were a lower league side and their rivals mainly

All you need is eyes in your head, the knowledge that the away end capacity is just short of 4.5k with all the coverings off and a shred of common sense to realise that there is no more than 2k or so. Is it a great following? Yes. Is it 3.8k? No, absolutely not.

When talking about getting 10% of ticket sales when sold up front through our club shop he said " its frustrating to see 3800 of our fans at Huddersfield when you have only sold 600 tickets up front ". So I would assume he was talking about the most recent game.

Who said anything about which game it was? I know which game he's on about and I know there was nowhere near 3,800 FC fans at the game. I don't care what your CEO said with regards numbers because, as I have previously said, I know how much that end holds and I saw with my own eyes how many were in it. As Daz has also said, there are posters on here who have access to the actual turnstile figures and it was ~2,100.

maybe he 'presumed' you would fill that end - after all we were told by FC fans on here that the stand wouldn't be big enough cos you were bringing AT LEAST 5,000 so if your CEO is thinking like that then the fans will too

see my picture on the previous page to see there is clearly nothing like 3,800 hull fans in a stand that had a 3,500 capacity or whatever it is for unreserved seating

I thought this conversation was pretty much dead in the water after the mighty and loyal support of Hull KR at the Galpharm last friday,

i said at the time they will still say they had more than FC and outnumbered us !!

Last Friday was the lowest KR have brought to ours in their time in the super league. I heard the usual excuses "oh it's on Sky and it's a friday" Well last season it was the same ie on Sky and on a friday and they still brought 4 times the amount they brought last week! Not as bad a following as Cas this season but still our second worse where we've opened the South Stand!

Interesting that they've not come on here telling us how they are good followers, but then again. Those that did visit though are the true fans!! And also many I spoke to are quite embarrassed at their fellow fans boasts about bringing so many to all grounds.

Well tomorrow we'll hopefully be taking a fair few over although the few that are put off by simple things like the weather will see that it's due to rain and stay away!

you know what, even though people call our away support, and sometimes with justification because we'd all like to see it improve, however i would say we have some of the most loyal hardcore support in the game, fair enough we might not have the numbers like other clubs have but our figures dont tend to fluctuate much compared to other clubs.
i would say our support this season has ranged from between 200 and 700,with the odd figure slightly less or slightly more,and has been like that for years,whereas some clubs might take 3,000 to one game and then only a few hundred to another,take wire for example,they brought nearly 3,000 to our place in the cup but only took a few hundred to bradford the other week, hull kr too usually bring at least 1500 to ours but last week less than 500,cas the same,usually bring 1000 but this year brought less than 200.
so i would say that our away support is usually the same at each ground year on year give or take an extra/less 100 at some games, so to me its not about numbers its about quality
