| Oh that game at Halifax! We were getting hammered and Cardozo went through and we thought- at least we've scored one then the dope ran over the dead ball line! Was on what happened next on question of sport too!
I remember Bentley scoring a brilliant try that would have won us the game against saints? (Could have been our first possible win??) and the ref said he was off side- he was a mile ONSIDE and the sky cameras showed it on the big screen - john was furious!!!!! Very funny man jB I you get the opportunity to hear him as an after dinner speaker well worth it!

| Can't find the heart to name any individual as worst - and don't agree with putting Andy Cheetham in that list - he will always be remembered for the theatrical dive over the line at Old Trafford in our 18-0 win over much fancied Hull to win Divisional Play Offs I think it was called? Funniest thing that day was the old version of Big G and Ma G being cheered around the pitch immediately prior to kick off
Andrew Tangata-Toa - really nice guy - what did he ever do wrong?

| Bolo fagborun. - remember him in rugby league world described as the next big thing. Now laking at Dudley hill and looking very average.
Jamie Simpson - had one good game.
Garry Schofield came for a final pay day. Past it by the time he got to us.
Nick Fozzard - went onto have a great career but had too many injuries.
Jamie Bloem. Past it once he signed for us.
We did have worse players than the ones I've mentioned but I feel the above were big let downs.

| we have had some shockers over the years, but i certainly wouldnt say schoey was poor, yes he was past it but he still had that extra class and it showed at times,
bloem? was a pretty solid performer i remember for us and a lot of people were sad to see him leave,
wittenburg? always gave 100% and had some decent games, certainly not one of the worst i've seen.
chris orr? he was spectalularly poor i seem to remember, he was the one who stands out as been very poor for us.

| some good shouts!
jamie simpson...got to be up there... totally out of his depth
fagborun..i thought he wasnt given a chance really, he had a good debut over at wigan but then never got another chance so dont think can say he was one of the worst 5, players have to have been given a chance really and had a good few games rather than just a couple.
i always liked dale laughton, should of been a good combination with fleary but we were a poor side then

| Laughton never played in the same side as Fleary. Laughton had gone before Tony Smith's first full season in 2001. Felary was signed for one season (2003) on our return to superleague.

Crowther was decent for kicking goals but not much else, Nigel Wright was a wasted talent in the game, was always injured or would have been a very good player.
Simpson - yes, awful
Bloem/Laughton/Fagborun etc i thought were all ok in poorish sides.
How about Korkidas or Wayne Mcdonald ?

| Wayne McDonald was ok when he played for us and got to play in a challenge cup final. Korkidas was not given a proper chance by Nathan Brown a bit like Tony Tonks.

That could be him- he was very young and was supposed to be the next big thing but was truly awful.
As for graham holroyd- well looks like he could well have been poor off the field let alone on it

| Whilst all the players mentioned may have been full timers in the SL era most of the names mentioned were first division players playing in SL. It is not their fault they played above their level because that is all we could afford.
Most of them would have been on £15k and a win bonus so to criticise them for being made to look rubbish by the likes of Farrell or Sculthorpe is a bit unfair. They tried their best playing above their level.
If you were to look at those who were the worst with their performances, divided by games played, pounds £ per game and reputation i doubt we got our moneys worth out of O'Donnell or Faalogo.
