In terms of timing it depends how you are replacing.
Wakefield did the same last year and it got us out of a hole.

i think last Sunday when there were a few booing the team off was the last straw , last time the Giants were booed off was the bad Perpignan defeat when they were booed off and that led to Sharps sacking, Personaly i think Anderson should have gone a few weeks ago or left him in charge until the Wakefield game ,After all the Giants are still in line hopefully to win a major trophy

Sorry to see him go like this, though just running out of ideas I think when needing to come up with some. It was probably not the time to be doing it though. Really can't see the advantage of doing it now, why not wait till after the Salford game, especially after whats happened recently. Wonder if senior players have put a word in? Who would people look for to replace?

let's wait and see how the team plays at Salford it may answer quite a few questions!!!!

John Kear to the rescue?

Timing is great, if he is not the man to take us forward and players have lost faith in him then he needed to go, for a few reasons the players have not been playing for him. Every coach good or bad has a sell by date where the same voice/tactics eventually wear thin.

I think once the fans turn on the team and attendances may suffer, you then have to be brave and make that decision.

Hopefully we can now kick on, although who is available that can take us forward remains to be seen

i mean its bad timing with the club still in mourning over the loss of one of our adacemy stars ...

Who will come in is the main question? Someone untried such as a Brett Hodgson. Personally would like to see you make a play for someone like Geoff Toovey or Ivan Cleary

I'd be very surprised if it did win or not. Its just one game. Like the home game against Wire and St Helens Magic.

Really feeling for your club at the moment. Tough week made tougher for all those involved. Think it's terrible timing with the loss of one of your young lads. Hope they all come out stronger on the other side.

Awful timing, certainly a time the club needed to stick together I thought. Let's hope the fans who wanted Anderson gone get what they really want. Wins! Better entertainment!

Certainly need an experienced coach next season. Fingers crossed an English coach. Hopefully Brian McD becomes available next season and he fancies a go over here.

Wakefield wanted him this season but he wouldn't leave Batley half way through the year.

Kear will be involved in the middle eight's anyway with Batley, and I'm sure he'd try and get them up than save the ludites bacon

a fresh start for the giants then, what a week we have had.

we dont normally sack coaches so was abit of a surprise but the last 3 performances for me have been the last straw, awful and unacceptable for this club now.

clearly is top 8 was a minimum requirement for anderson this season and he failed so had to go.

has been plenty of mitigating factors but still joint bottom not good enough.

look forward to seeing who comes in, maybe an aussie coach with new ideas and that can get the team attacking!
