Gotta say i was hoping to break 10k yesterday, nothing on anywhere near us, not on sky, Saints brought a good few over.

Is our hardcore base around 8k ?

Robbie has his work cut out to increase our base support.

Dont give me the "it was raining" card, as far as i could see, we were all sat undercover.

Not knocking the 9k but surely 10 was achievable against Saints.

i think your spot on lee, our hardcore is around 7500-8000 it's gonna take a massive effort to get 10k im afraid.
the amount of people in town and in the yorkshire rose after game who didnt have a clue what all these shirts were and that there was a game on still amazes me.

Jeez we used to average 4k and wonder if we could get to 5 or 6....and then 7....8 etc.

the trend is up. Our average SL gates have doubled! For many young to middle aged fans these are attendances they have never before witnessed.

The much improved community work and things like the school blitz stuff by players is gradually bearing fruit.

had a guy telling me i was in his seat!!!? only sat there for years..then he got his season ticket out and realised he was in wrong bit, part timer?!

im pretty sure should we keep doing well and not be messed around by sky, we could and should hit 10k a few times this season.

What was the deal with the FM stand yesterday? There was no-one in there...was it shut?

Closed it cos of weather and stuck everyone in Britannia.

yes it was, friday night i think.

Thing is with moving the FM lot.....although it made the BR stand look fuller i thought it diluted the usual poor atmosphere in there even more because there were more non singers in there!

Plus i had one or 2 people complaining to me , and i understood their point, that they've had to pay full admission to get into the BR stand whereas people who bought the cheap FM season tickets knowing they were buying a seat open to the elements and risked getting soaked on days like yesterday were moved and got a seat for free because it was raining ....!

Shows we have fans that will pretty much moan bout anything

well yeah but if you've paid £20 for a seat and the guy sat next to you has his for nowt because its raining wouldn't you feel a bit aggrieved

Agree lee. I looked at wife and said we should of got over 10k for this match but we are growing year on year which is tremendous news for the club.

Hopefully that will be broken on our Monday night game when we play hull kr they always bring a big away following.

How have they got the seat for nothing as it is part of the season ticket price albeit that the seat paid for is elsewhere in the ground???

Adults in the stand yesterday would have paid the equlivalent of £3.84 on £50 seasons, £7.61 on £99 BRS season, £10 on using season ticket holders friends vouchers, £13.85 on a standard FM season ticket (though doubtful there are many of them), £16.15 on a standard BRS season, £18 in advance or £21 on the day and in truth so what if someone paying full price feels aggrieved as they have had ample opportunity to get their tickets at a cheaper rate.

The fact of the matter is that the club probably are too fan friendly with cheap deals, moving fans in bad weather etc but that is the only way they can develop the fan base at present and good on them for doing so. As was said at the start of the thread gates have doubled and if a few people feel put out because of people getting a one game bonus then so be it its showing the club are thinking about looking after their new customers and trying to get them to be as loyal and fanatical as those who have been going for years.

On that note just suppose that some who were moved yesterday decide that when they come to renew the facilities are better in that stand so they fork out say £99 next term instead of £50 for this (assuming the club keep season ticket prices at such low levels for early purchases).

The forecast was looked at and the decision wasn't taken lightly. It was forecast sleet all afternoon. I don't think it will happen again!

i meant in that stand where people had to pay £20 on the day.....point being that they chose to buy season tickets in that area of the ground for that price knowing that they risked getting wet.
If it was said that on purchasing one of these £50 ST that should rain be forecast you would be moved into covered seats then am sure many more would have taken that offer up.

I'm not personally complaining as i have my ST i was stating what someone had said to me !

Can I also point out that there were cheap tickets deals available for the Kilner Bank stand so Mr Smith sat next to you could also have got in cheaper than you and had every right to sit there as he'd paid into the Kilner bank fair and square!!

The north stand pay on the day is £21 the same as the Kilner Bank and Riverside, some may've bought in to sit with a friend already sat in there, not everyone in that stand is on a cheapy!!!

You did well to find someone who actually paid on the gate, ive never seen anyone pay cash on the day

To be honest the weather made a decent gesture from the club seem a big needless and I think that the £50 season ticket holders were not expecting the upgrade even if the conditions had been as they were earlier in the day. If it has set a precident we will see but a bit of summer rain never hurt anyone and with luck the weather will improve and with not many home games in March and April lets hope every game is bathed in sunshine and the club will be out selling sun tan lotion and floppy hats to those in that stand very soon.

Living in London, so Sunday is really difficult. Have a season ticket. Here maybe more like me who can't make all home games.

I've got a renewed season ticket, it personally doesn't bother me who sits or pays what.........I WASN'T COMPLAINING I WAS JUST SAYING WHAT SOMEONE WHO ONLY FOUND OUT THEY WERE GOING ON THE MORNING OF THE GAME WAS SAYING !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
