i think most of us have known for a few years that he was going to be a good winger when he finally broke through, but who else is surprised at just how good he has been?
i know its still early days for jerry yet and i hope he doesn't become another kevin penny which im sure he wont.
who remembers the fuss and orgasmic reaction from the media over penny when he first broke into the warrington side? well compare this:
penny scored 13 tries in his first 12 games
jerry has scored 14 in his first 11 games
and yet i haven't heard sky or anyone else mention him yet penny was lauded as the nextmajor superstar in our game.
do you think this is good for jerry and the giants or just media bias?

he's going to go a very long way in sl. A cracking player who's going to get better and better with age. We've got some cracking players coming through the ranks. The future is really bright for the claret and gold!!!

The lad's playing well. I'm really impressed with how he returns the ball. Takes some stopping. If he played for a marquee team and not Fartown the media would be going mad over him.

Give it time, it's still early days. He's been picked for the Knights so he's not gone unnoticed and he's played well in the games so far this year. No point hailing him as the new Messiah yet but so far so good.

Better for him to glide along and keep working than think he's the mutts nuts and giving it the big mister. The key is to keep working hard and if his profile stays a little lower than he's more likely to work harder IMO. So let them say nothing!
