| Fortunately i had to miss this game.
Arent i the Lucky one
had the pleasure ( sic) of listening it to Radio Manchester which suggested that
1 Salford played the game simply and made very few errors
2 Although we had very good field position we could not score and bombed several chances
3 Our attacking kicks were very poor apart from the one where Aspy set up Robbo
4 Salford showed more commitment particualrly with their scrambling defence
5 We made a lot of errors ( although many of them were due to good Salford defence)
6 We seemed unlucky with a couple of things
7 When things started going badly our heads dropped.
8 we missed Hodgson
Anyone else got any views.

| We just weren't at the races, first half they created 2 chances and scored both, we created 5 and only put 1 away.
Second half we were shocking and Kirmond on the 6th tackle wnet for a silly pass and they intercepted and ran it in from 70 yard out. After that we got progressively worse giving silly penalties away and awful decision making.
Salford fully deserved their win, it was the worst perdformance I've seen from us for a long time.

2 Although we had very good field position we could not score and bombed several chances =redWe lacked pace and ideas to turn potential into tries. Created very little really.
3 Our attacking kicks were very poor apart from the one where Aspy set up Robbo =redTrue
4 Salford showed more commitment particualrly with their scrambling defence =redAgreed although offside & holding down wasn't policed by alibert though that is probably a tad unfair to Salford who were the better team and deserved the win
5 We made a lot of errors ( although many of them were due to good Salford defence) =redWe were inept at times and just plain poor at others
6 We seemed unlucky with a couple of things =redUnlucky in the fact that all 17 players had a bad day together
7 When things started going badly our heads dropped. =redWe showed no urgency at all throughout the game
8 we missed Hodgson No=redt sure even Brett could have helped in this one.

It was one of the worst performances by a Fartown team for a long time.
Tactics did not change in the second half despite the poor first half.
Why do we have three hookers in the team with one playing at loose forward, neither with any weight or go forward?
Why do we persist in playing Korkidas for 15 minutes a game? For a prop it's not good enough.
Why have we reverted to 5 drives and a kick and why do we always seem to turn back into the ruck?
Why do we seem to lack pace and fail to turn overlaps into scores?
I hope that today was the low point cos I am not looking forward to next week.

You've been round long enough to know the winning side never gets any credit

| The best team won. Do you feel better now?
What we are discussing is how poor we were and how we should have beaten a lower placed side who had only won three league games previously.

Yes they can lose games and I'll accept it when they try but it's how they lost this one that grates. No effort, no skill, no determination.

| These kinda games happen! it happens to all teams at some point in a season, where you play dreadful and nothing goes your way (i mean the bounce of the ball etc not the ref, who did well in a easy game to ref) and the best thing in the game today for the players was the final whistle. salford went through the motions with a desire to win and made few errors and let hudds ruin their chance of ever getting back into it, they wern't great but were the better side with little effort. its just one of those dips in a season that happen, we need to draw a line under it and make sure it's not repeated, but its not a big deal for me personally as long as its not a regular problem!

| I've only been to 4 home games this season. St. Helens, Hull, Leeds
and today, and im seriously thinking im a jinks because i've not seen
them play anything like yet. At this rate i cant see them getting loads
of season ticket renewals for next season evan at £80.

Durham out of all the pish posted on here you always talk the most sense.
All of the above is true, don't lose the faith I think the coach knows what needs to be done, but yer the above just about summed it up and a big pat on the back for Salford, take nothing away from them, error free game for them and more passion.

| We not only missed Hodgson, We missed Raleigh, Griffin, Lawrence & Fulton.
At least a couple of the lads (Lunt & Hodgson) had the bottle to come over and shake some hands apologise for the performance - The rest just looked over sheepishly.

| Eorl Crabtree and Danny Kirmond ( in his 1st spell) you two can leave with dignity as you were the only ones (in my opinion) who actually looked slightly interested yesterday !!
Absolutely awful performance by our guys it looked like they were on strike today - not taking anything away from Salford who battered us on the day - they didnt need to be good today but they did the basics and our guys werent interested in giving them a game, we didnt even deserve to get 4 points today.
Salford had 17 men (&boys) out there who put in 79 minutes of top quality professional rugby league and our guys didnt know or couldnt be bothered to respond to them
We didnt make Salford drop the ball or make any mistakes because we couldnt be bothered putting the effort in.
few points:
1) how come when were attacking we never change the direction of play, we throw the ball either left or right for the whole set?
2) Although a decent Centre Kev Brown will never ever be a creative half back in Super League.
3)why is Cudjoe playing like Thorman at full back ie doing a little shimmy and skip when he gets to the defensive line instead of just running?
4) do our coaches teach our half backs how to create things because i cant remember the last time i watched a game on commented on some great half back play?
5) most importantly, why is a team that were wiping the floor with teams a couple of months ago playing so badly - is it laziness thats crept in to the players thinking they did enough in the 1st half of the season ?.
