Hoping we get a decent turn out,or it might be the last home friendly we get.No doubt some will look to rubbish it,and not bother.There were 3300 in attendance last Friday.Saints opened one end of the stad for £12 entry,while the main seated stand was £14.Think we should have done the same,given the option of cheaper entry behind sticks,even if that meant closing Kilner Bank.Would have thought owt above 2500 would be fair enough.

As for the game,we need some forward power just to give the halves the opportunity to get some confidence working with the runners,before the substitutions start.

Also the ref needs to realise even though its a friendly , people have paid to watch,so don't want to hear constant whistle stopping the contest.

cant se it being over a couple of thou to be honest, but main thing is that we come through injury free and that everyone has had a run out before the season starts.

think there will be less subs in this match too, named 26 for saints but will slim it right down to 19 i feel

Another trial game for Sarsfield and I thought he was average against Workington.Thought ask you lot what thought of him as played for you lot in reserves more I think?Joseph is doing ok as a prop.

did absolutley nothing in the reserves with us, waste of time. you should of given molloy a chance instead who we released. surprised to see joseph at prop!! always saw him as a hooker.

widnes dont look that strong..should be a win this, but more important we see some good things to take into the season.

are they swapping the centres and wings around?? poss cudjoe with george and wardle with mcgillvary?? could be a good idea, both solid centres in defence, we were abit dodgy at times last season in this area

Cording needs to put on an eye catching performance on Sunday in order to get the fans truly on his side.Though the way they are talking,he is almost certainly going to be in the 17 for the Saints opener.

I'd always have Leroy at left centre,so that his right step takes him to the outside.

Both Jez and Luke G need to show better form on defense this year for my money.

i dont think cording will be ahead of odonnell, ferres, lawrence.. then on bench chan takes the 2nd row positions that cording is fighting for.. would be nice to have him be pushing them though, will be surprised if he plays in the first game. but if they want to see what hes got then the start of the season is the time to find out!

from the wingers i certainly think george could be the one who makes way to dawson or blackmore..

Sarsfield is not in our squad so looks like Betts has seen enough and got rid.Hopefully Hock signs as a tad more talented.But I have a feeling Salford have him now.

Bruno needs a big performance Sunday too.At Saints he played loose forward for about 20 mins,came off and never returned.

Zaminer saying run on props will be Eorl & Fielden,and also Fairbank set to play.Really hope Fairbank can have an injury free run now,but he likes to get stuck in and often so it could be an ongoing problem unfortunately.Him returning now is like having a new signing.

Cross vs LOD would be good to watch,no backward steps in that contest.

Been reading the Widnes sites.Already they are talking of trying to tire out our big forwards,no doubt that will mean them getting out of dummy half often,and also kicking us back deep into our own 20.Better get used to those tactics,as I think that's gonna be the way against us this time.

Not sure if you are reading anything into Bruno playing 20 minutes then coming off- that sounded to be the tactics for all the senior players. Cording has a great work ethic- and PA likes that.
Can't see the game being called off unless we have a really massive snowfall overnight- can get down my road- that's a good indication! If my road is clear then there will be no probs around the stadium.
As for tiring out our forwards







most could play a big 60 minutes no problem.
