Connor has been messed about by Anderson from each game to the next and his development has suffered for it so I'd put the blame on his going squarely on his shoulders

Connor is a young lad who's been getting game time most 20 yr olds would be glad of!!
Time for him to change his mind yet- a new coach might swing it- after all he hasn't signed anything.

If Connor can be kept he must! His different attacking choices and options from the back was spot on and some good sweeping play!

At last, how many times have I said Conner should play FB and got shot down with comments like, "why he's not a FB" and "why what have you got against Grix"
Had a cracking game now we need our new coach to get him to change his mind.

We do have a great opinion of him, maybe I'm a bit biased because I know the guy as I'm really good mates of an ex coach of his. He can be an handful and unpredictable but surely that can be a good thing for a playmaker?

For people saying they don't see what people see in him, or that his defence isn't good enough or whatever other excuse possible, that performance last night is exactly what he is capable of.

The will to win is brilliant, he has the ability to try something off the cuff, which Brough aside we don't really have. I've said before he is wasted on the wing and even as centre, the lad needs the ball in his hands and things will happen. Yes he makes mistakes, but I'd rather we had a go than stick to a 'plan A' that doesn't always work.

Thewlis said we offered him more than we have ever offered a 21 year old. But that's because he's the best 21 year old we have ever had, we will pay an average aussie 80/90k a year and give him somewhere to live but don't look after out own kids with huge potential.

Jools, I assume your comment about game time was tongue in cheek. Good players improve by playing consistently, not being dropped or shifted every week to accommodate someone else. We need to play our best players, and until the end of the season, Jake is one of them, regardless of age.

I think the way he waved and acknowledged the Hull fans who sang his name last night, kind of settles it that he will be a Hull player last night. Don't know why Jools is the only one on here who is still clutching.

You have some other good talent in that team, hopefully you find a coach who can play them in the correct positions for them to thrive

Will Hull play Connor at FB? Will he be ahead of Shaul?

Couldn't agree more, He won't play as well as that every game, but another 12 months under Mr Anderson and he would have been lucky to get in the Underbank side.

Think he will be back up at one and six to be honest but after last night he showed us what he can do.

He wont displace Shaul at FB, however, but Connor seems to have skills that can be utilised at 1 or 6 so i think he will start as a back up for next year, but then move to 6 as i dont see Tuimavave as a long term option for us there

Language from the giants camp is still that "he's not signed for hull just yet"...

we know what connor can do, not seen it enough but not his fault he has had to play many different positions and failed to make one his own... dont forget we had injuries this season so has had to fill in

still not sure of his best position i still say half back but not our problem anymore it will be hull's..

he likes to do his own thing and doesnt listen to the coach at times and fell out with anderson, sometimes it pays off to give him freedom to do what he wants like last night

After watching Leon Pryce last night,I have no doubt Radford has got Jake lined up for the 6 jersey at Hull next season.

As far as we are concerned - Grix they are saying is gone for 6 weeks with the knee injury,and not getting any younger. So who will be our FB from now on? Jake? well and good,but he's signed for another club.

Looking longer term,anyone heard what the current situation is regarding Jared Simpson? Still injured or just out of favour?

Brierley will be our full back next season. Jared has been playing at Oldham I believe.

Well the player and Hull say he has, I think the Giants are just trying to get a fee out of the deal.
