Well it was at least a few days since out last injury, so I suppose we were due one.

You have to seriously suggest we are in in the market for someone now, especially since Patrick has gone.

Prob the same genius who's been operating for some time, Maybe Tickle would have just filled a gap short term after all.

| Except larne isnt a prop (and never has been in my eyes) and neither is tickle- but hey let's not let the facts get in the way of another moan.
Poor huby- he's having a tough time of things the last 6 months!

| huby was looking very good on his comeback games too, hard on the lad.
good job we have crabtree back but no doubt this is a big blow for us, hopefully have him back for the end of season run in be it in the super 8s or middle 8;s
good news about connor though!

Larne is a forward who has plenty of experience at prop. We are now another prop forward down for 12 weeks. Those are the facts.

Moan !! is there ever a minute when if anyone disagrees with you or says something you don't like it's not a moan or they are a bad fan ??
The person is concerned that we have picked up an injury on a major player having just let a player Anderson praised to the ceiling at the start of the season go to Castleford.
We have a thin squad so what happens if we 'cop' another injury or two especially another major forward ??
Will pointing that out if it happens be a moan ?? Since when is pointing out the truth a moan ??

| larne doesn't want to play for us that was obvious last year when he wanted to go to Wigan- Regardless of the "spin" at the start of the year and how much we rate him the feelings are not bound to be mutual! -You can't keep a player who doesn't want to stay- niether would I want to. Folk are talking like we had a choice, that we "let him go" when it could be that actually it was hobsons choice.! The other issue is larne isn't a prop forward- and id rather have a young kid in who IS a prop who will give 100 % every week than put larne in there who isn't and won't.

| Without huby and smith we look v light up front.
Also puts pressure on JJ and Mason to perform each week, and to stay injury free. Goodness knows who would do the minutes up front if Rapira gets injured....?

| Sorry Jools but in all sincerity am struggling with the logic here You're happy to let a non prop go to Cas and prefer to have young lads who are props be thrown in at the deep end against it (fact) last seasons triple winners
But happy to justify to me and others that a seasoned half back went to full back even though we were struggling at the time....? Will sleep on it and try again tomorrow !

| To be fair the young lads didn't do too bad against Wire and they weren't a complete failure against the Pies. My original point was actually a general point that we are light in the forwards now (not realky news though) Bar a cracking run of form in the cup we aren't going to do much this season, so it is good in some respects that a by product of our situation is the young lads getting experience for next season and beyond.

| We need a new prop fast!
Mason and Johnson are capable but no prop is going to get a rest!
Not partically bothered either way about Larne going but I'm hoping we are on the verge of a replacement very very quickly or another injury could destroy the entire season completely because the way I see it we are helping rivals Cas Tigers and not helping ourselves.

| We still have a good chance of making the 8 if we can beat Leeds Friday night. The experience for Mason and Johnson will only do them good later down the line and for next season. Good riddance to Patrick I'm glad to see him go. However, we urgently need to sign 2 players if we are to compete in the 8s, either a Prop and a 2nd Row or 2 Props. Huby will be back for the 8s if we can make it. How long till Ellis is back?

damned if they do - damned if they don't Brearley.
For all we know Larne could be causing problems in the dressing room. Just because the club don't tell us the full story doesn't mean we need to know.
We don't always know, and in many cases we don't need to. It wasn't the club who broadcast the details of the Ferres problem for instance - that was the tabloids. We didn't find out details of the allegations against Greg Johnson, or the issues with player(s)being interviewed by the police in the offseason at Newcastle. The club, unlike some, don't like to air dirty linen in public as innocents could be harmed.
Of course the reason they are "letting Larne go" may just be because the club want to keep good relationships with players, agents and other clubs as it may help us in the future!!!!!
If they bring in someone like tickle then they show no ambition, if they go with the youngsters then they show no ambition, if they wait until the right player comes along then they show no ambition.
of course what they should be doing is signing up Chris Hill, Alex Walmsley and John Bateman immediately and if they don't then they show no ambition.....

That's the biggest load of twaddle I've ever heard. This is a Rugby League forum a place for debate not just a place where people come with rose tinted glasses.
Any member has a right to state their opinions as you do Jools but your post is pure supposition and two fingers to anyone who has a differing opinion to you.
For the record Ta'ai is not a prop he's a wide running powerful second rower look what happened to David Fa'alago who we converted to a prop he left because his performance level dipped and he picked up injuries.
Whilst in the 'short term' it's a fix we then weaken another area of the team if we move Ta'ai.
We have three props fit Rapira, Crabtree and Johnson Mason is a back rower who like Johnson is yet to mature into consistency.
No one expects the club to sign players that are not available but it doesn't stop us being concerned that we are short of at least four players now.
Even you Jools can't blame the fans for this it was the coaches/clubs choice to do this even knowing Robbo was crocked.
Whilst you can't legislate for Ferresgate injuries are a natural occurance in contact sport and as we have been lucky in the last two to three years we have been caught with 'our pants' down this time and paying the price at the bottom of the league.
Ignoring its happening ain't going to fix it any more than debating who and when we might sign someone.

Surely the club knew he did not want to play for us before he came back from Wigan.n if they dint then they should have because everyone else knew he did not want to come back. I said at the start of the season he did not want to come back despite all the bullshiite in the press. You criticised me for not getting behind the player!.
so we went into the season with a small squad with a player the club knew was badly crocked and had discussed retirement Robbo.
we then went in with a player who did not want to be here Patrick. If we had known then we should have dumped Patrick and kept Hughes.
I understand Wigan wanted to keep Patrick but we wanted a fee so we kept hold of him and let Hughes go to Wire.
IMHO this is another example of someone at the club fooking up big time.
Now sits back and waits for the usual moaner insults.

| 90 % correct Durham Hughes was a Wigan player who wonted to stay close to home and signed for the wire . the rest is spot on Sky where thinking patrick goinng was to make way for someone to come from the NRL . the runing of the club is becoming a bigger joke by the day where light all over the place , any more injury's and we could be in trouble ormsby due to go back as well after leeds game

| I would guess that Hughes would've gone to Warrington regardless because the location suited his personal circumstances better and Warrington were obviously going to be there or thereabouts this season.
I think jools needs to be more pragmatic. Whilst I totally accept that the club have had their fair share of bad luck this season, there is clearly something wrong with the administration behind the scenes and it's holding the club back. It needs facing and dealing with.
The club should have a bigger/better marketing department.
Brett Hodgson should not have been let go like he was.
Keith Mason should not have been on the silly salary he was.
Keith Mason should not have been unlawfully sacked.
Larne Patrick simply should not have been let go with the current squad situation.
You can't defend these points without making yourself look silly IMO. They need to do something sharpish because all I see is a club going backwards, fast. And I take zero pleasure in that, for the record.

| There we go again that "let go" phrase that makes it sound like the player is a possession and has no say in his own future!
would anyone expect to go into work, hand in your notice and expect to be told- no sorry you can't go- you have to stay and work for us- We are not "letting you go". They might offer you more money- but you might decide the prospects are better elsewhere. Or there's a particular guy you think can develop your career. Or it's just a bit more convenient for you as its closer to home and the costs of travelling would be cheaper....

You keep Missing the point or more likely ignoring it.
Why did we bring him back from Wigan and not sign someone else /
