| Tony Rea has left the club with his assistant taking over.
Could be an interesting game. Hope the players don't take this one for granted. We know how badly that's worked out in the past!

| Go out with a full strength team and try and get our record SL score. They are there for the taking and we should take no prisoners with them. We need the confidence and to bring back that win at all cost mentality we had last season and a cricket score against them will help us no end.

What garbage London are losing but not by 70 or 80 every week and forget cricket scores until they happen, Saints had to work for a 30 point win at home last week. If we get a similar win great but 2 points is what we need and we already try to score on every play too often and we need to treat London as a threat and do everything right and earn the points.
Win at all costs comes through v Saints, Wigan and Leeds later in the month and in truth the more London and Bradford test us the better prepared we will be for them and to be honest a record score is neither here nor there if we drop 6 points after that.

| No way will this game be an easy win - London are improving and to the most part are competing. We need to be up for this and keep the momentum going because our game against Bradford at MW will be a test too. Our season may pivot on these next 2 games as to where we end up for the play offs.
Really good win against a very, very good Cas team should give us some real confidence that our season can get much better from this point - but only if we keep up the desire to win and really want it more than our opposition.
We are bound to see a reaction from London, and they will not be too far off their first win - just not against us I hope!
Looking forward to this first visit to the Hive, probably would not have gone if played at the Stoop again as last year the atmosphere was very poor and a long way to go for that. Hoping to get the 2 points and to see us continue to improve from the performances over the last 3 games. COYG!!!

| They've changed their coach, lost their first 11 league games, are out of form big time and are a very vulnerable and beatable team who we should really take to the cleaners and that's not being disrespectful to them at all, it's just how they've been for the majority of this season. We need to gain the confidence in attack we had last season to take our chances and put a team to bed one way or another and we should target this game as a chance to put this right. The more points we score the more confident we'll get in attack and more belief will come to the players and team.

| I think expecting a big win is a bit disrespectful and we haven't shown enough to suggest that will be the case. I will be happy with a consistent controlled strong performance and that should earn the win. I view the change of coach as an added problem to us as I'm sure there will be a reaction. Hopefully Mullalley will get a full rotation and play decent mins.

| We defiantly can't go taking London easy. They are due a win. There coach moving on will have them fired up. It's not going to be as easy as some think. We have to turn up. The talk of record scores and resting players is silly. We are coming through a bad patch and need to treat London with respect and play a good game!
Trying to score in every set, playing stupid rugby, and trying to showboat isn't acceptable to me.. Even if we win comfortably. I want to see a professional 80 minutes.

I never said to try and score at every set or show boat. We need to gain more confidence in attack and try to remember and get that knack of putting teams to bed once and for all like we had last season. Look at the Hull play off game last season, they were no way as poor a team as London find themselves now and we certainly put them to the sword with neat and clinical play and this season on paper we have a stronger and better squad of players who now have the experience of winning silverware. We had a point to prove after the Wigan P/O game and we certainly showed what we were made of that night.
According to SL full time we are only 4 points off where we were this time last season and that's with an up and down start to the season where we've thrown games away we should have won and played pretty poorly at points. Playing against London and to a certain extent Bradford the week after should be a chance to get to where we want to be as a team this season. Yes RL is a very tough sport and can be unpredictable at times, no games should be taken for granted but if we want to be a club who is going to be up there challenging for honours then consecutive games against the bottom 2 teams near the mid point of the season should be a chance to gain team and individual player confidence and set a marker of the standards we need to reach this season.

It's a little disappointing that the Giants have never been a team to really kick a team when they're down. It's like we think we deserve the right to overplay too early in a game, make impossible offloads etc. If it comes off it's all good but doesn't really put us in the right mind set for more important games.
I hope they go there with the right attitude. For example I'd rather us win 36 points playing a good, well structed 80 minutes than winning by 66 points, randomly throwing the ball about hoping things just come off...
Yes it sounds stupid but hey ho.

I think we need to be on our guard and beware complacency.
Did anyone see Super League Show? Quite a lot of chat about London and their need to gel as a team. Both Peacock and Powell reckoned it wouldn't be too long, but that could be put down to media chat. However a change of coach can cause a synergy that lifts and melds a team. Maybe this is just what London have been needing.
You cannot say a team is beatable until you've actually done it other wise it's you that ends up beaten. Just think of some of our games in this, and previous, seasons. Can you remember when the pundits said we'd never win a game in Super League? We were the vulnerable and beatable team of the time.
There's always the first 'unbeatable' team to fall to an under-performing side. Unless of course this is the season a team goes through without a win. Chances? Very slim I reckon.
Enough waffling. Let's get down there and put 2 points in our bag. Some sunshine would be nice too and of course lots of shouting an singing. Must get someone to do the greenhouse watering.

| wont be an easy game if we turn up with the wrong attitude, small london pitch and they are improving.
we dont want to be the first team to lose to them this season!! it was no easy game last season down there at the end of the season.
same team to play that played v castleford.. dont think we got any injuries, patrick could come in maybe though

Hell of a lot of good it did us the next week at Wire though.
A tough match v Hull would have been much better preperation and tough games against London and Bradford are likely to get us where we need for Saints Wigan and Leeds far more than 2 50+ wins.

| I agree with most on this. Treat them with due respect and play to a gameplan with regular 17 (injuries permitting).
Don't go into it thinking of racking up a cricket score. Look to build pressure and focus on winning the individual battles and let score take care of itself.
Would be great to head into magic weekend with a nice winning run.

| We should win this comfortubly, but we have a record of loosing the plot against, the team at the bottom, a good solid performance, for the 80, treat them with respect,
Although the coach isn,t new a change at the top sometimes instills fresh enthusiasm, watched them against Saints, and they kept going for the full 80,
Too much class, and experiance, Giants by 20

| I'm actually worried about this game. Giants have a knack of raising their game against the so called top sides but failing to play with the same intensity for those lower down the table- and it has bitten us in our aris many times!
After MW we have a tough run of games, we need to keep up momentum and go into that period with confidence and hopefully having gained four points before then as the next six are going to be extremely difficult to achieve.

| For those who are going, from meliferra, a London supporter:
Quote Barnet is great, plenty of decent pubs, but the Hive isn't in Barnet, it's next to Canons Park tube which is 6 miles from Barnet.
About 15min walk from Edgware which has a couple of ok pubs like the Wishing Well and Change of Hart plus a decent number of restaurants. There is a fairly popular bar next to Canons Park called Moranos. Otherwise it's Wetherspoon pubs at Stanmore and Kingsbury which are one stop on the tube away or drinking at Bakers street before getting the Jubilee line to the ground.
The 3 bars in the Hive are decent. The food in the main bar is good.'"
