So Rovers have paid a fee , the player signs a three year deal , but Huddersfield can have him back for nothing in two years ?

Probably one of what you've said. Can't see our board being stupid enough to pay a fee then give him back for nothing after 2 years. There would be an amicable agreement in place for it to happen if that's the case.

Eden has signed a 3 year deal with Hull KR.

If after 2 years he were to become available Hudderfield have first refusal.

He could walk away for nothing after 3 years so in that way it makes sense if KR do want to cash in before then we get first refusal.


I'd assume if he signs a contract extension at any stage that is it and our claim on him is gone.


Would not think this type of arrangement is unusual though perhaps it becoming public knowledge is.

then if he does want to come back...after hes grown up and done all his errors athull kr... he can!! but cant see him coming back, things change.

I agree he wont be back at the giants, he'll either fulfill his obvious potential become a star and get a go at a leeds, wigan or warrington for example or he'll be unable to improve and shake off his errors and end up at somewhere like fax or fev when his contracts up with us imho

the big thing in his favour is this his big chance to be a first choice number 1 at a club and we will all see if he's good enough, he 'll have no excuses

Also think your twisting the deal Giants have said he could come back, and I think in all likelihood its a case of if KR want him he stays, if they do not we get first refusal rather than them training him up to give us back.

As you say doubt he will be back and it is probably a case of he will move to a top club if he does really well and if not might not even get a SL gig, the ball is firmly in his court to prove the doubters (and I'd class you as one of his biggest) wrong.

no not asked john kear but if kear didnt want him then it makes even more sense to sell as he would of just been sat in the stands watching our games.

very much doubt we will see eden play for giants again, its just abit of a spin put on it for to keep the eden fans happy.

im not one of his biggest doubters, i actually put him in my team for 2013 at full back as i thought he had the potential and was happy with that.... changed it to murphy now and still pleased with that

Fair enough it will be interesting to see who plays well in pre-season (I guess against Batley amongst others) at Full Back as I'd guess at present the shirt is up for grabs and whilst I have not been impressed enough with Murphy to think he will oust Grix Wakey fans rated him as a decent FB so competition will hopefully bring the best out of both of them and it can only be good for us if both are at the top of their game when Anderson makes his picks for day 1.

HKR have agreed personal terms with Greg for three years.
HKR have agreed a fee with the Giants for two.
If Giants want him back after two years we get him - if not greg gets to stay on at KR on the terms he agreed for the final year - SIMPLES
