| Depends I guess, on wether other clubs have the right to speak to contracted players, or if if Craig is within his right to terminate his contract and join another club. Im not a lawyer, so dont have a clue TBH.

| If he has turned down his contract being TUPEd across then he has the right to do that as all the players have but since the takeover by OK hasnt been ratified by the RFL then i cant see us offering TUPEd yet until the deal has alteast be signed off by the RFL...
I understand why he wants out... he needs to look after himself and couldnt be blamed if he was fed up with how badly they have all been treated this year but the timing is so so bad

| Seems a strange move for him to withdraw at this stage, with possibly only one game left to play. Have Huddersfield 'broken rank' or is that just a case of sour grapes from Tasker?
edit: I've just had a scan on the Bulls forum. Rightly or wrongly, Huddersfield are being torn to pieces on there right now, with mention being made of consecutive bottom of the league finishes but being kept up by 'other clubs', Hudds being the only club to vote against Bradford in the recent SLE bid poll, stealing Wakefield players last season, Ken Davy pulling out of the club.... you name it.... 'the most hated club in Super League'.
Deary me!

There are a group of morons - not all Bulls fans - having a pop.
Some , it seems, are very stupid or out and out liars!
First there was no SLE vote for or against Bradford.
Second there was a vote on whether SL had 13 or 14 clubs (maybe this is what they are refering to?) there was one vote for 13 clubs and it definitely was not the giants who cast that vote).
We signed Fergy during the admin. Others signed Obst? Milard? And I believe some of wakey's creditors got some money. There is apparently a 10 page list of creditors (mainly small businesses providing local jobs) who will get nothing from the Bulls - they did not transfer anyone despite sugestiond of six figure offers for bateman etc.
There is huge concern about a guy choosing to leave rather than 16 who were just sacked.
Wish OK and the RFL could sort it out.

| Kopczac is obviously smarter than the average bull- or at least his agent is! All out of contract players were given permission by the RFL to talk to other clubs outside of the deadline- contracted players were not. That leaves those players at a disadvantage since its still not clear what the bulls future will be- the longer it's left the fewer "spots" will be available - that issue is worse for "quota" players as there will be even fewer opportunities. Kopczac has seen an opportunity to get out of his bulls contract and hence make himself a free agent meaning that he has a better opportunity of securing his future. A good prop forward and a smart lad!

| key point as i understand is this bit.
In a statement issued to Press Association Sport, Shuttleworth said: "Craig was notified by the joint administrators by letter dated September 3, 2012 that his playing contract had transferred with effect from August 31, 2012 to OK Bulls Ltd.
"He then served notice on the administrators that he objects to the transfer of his employment under the relevant TUPE legislation.
"The net effect of having served the notice is that he is deemed to have resigned with effect from August 31, 2012 and his employment with the club is automatically terminated.
Not his fault he has protected himself.
Has no idea which league he will be playing in next year, what his salary or terms and conditions will be etc.
Not sure if Bradford's legal advice is very good.
If they had not listened to their solicitors before re Harris they might not have gone bankrupt. !!!!

| Complete cock up by the RFL, ATEOTD The Bulls spent money they didn't have chasing the dream, they enjoyed the success and trophies but now is the time to pay the price, they should have been made to sell players in order to pay off their debts (let's not forget the creditors in this!!!)
If its out like the Glasgow Rangers situation the players have the option to accept the transfer of contract or can seek employment elsewhere.
Hope we sign Gale too if Kopczak is coming to the Giants, if the Bulls don't pay off their debts then should be Halifax or Fev in SL next season!!!

| Nothing to do with the Giants. Between Kopczak, his agent and the administrator.
If a member of staff does not wish to be TUPEd then they have the legal opportunity not to accept it and they in effect resign for the date of the TUPE.

| I can understand Bulls fans frustration at the situation they are in, but could someone tell me where it says Huddersfield Giants have definitly signed Kopczak. Or how they know that Giants voted against them staying in SL. I would have thought that such a vote would have been secret. There appears to be a lot of vilification of the Giants. It may be warrented but I would like to see the proof of their statements. I read most of the news reports concerning Giant but haven't seen either of these reported other than on Bulls forum.

| I'd have voted Budfud Bulls out of the SL no problem.
Their attitude towards us over these last few weeks should live in the memory of all Fartown fans forever.

| agreed sheepridge! those same fans were made to eat their words a few weeks ago when they didnt have the facts. Here they are with another go,why the hatred towards us? - because that is what it is-pure and simple- it isnt sporting rivalry. If anything it should be the other way round-they have given us more reasons to hate them ver the years!

Irrelevant because at this moment Bradford are still a SL club.
And what Bradford got done for regarding Harris was inducing him to break a contract. Which, it may yet be argued, Huddersfield might have done with Kopczak.

They won't. I think there is a will throughout RL that want's Bulls to stay up and outside West Yorkshire I can not see a club or many supporters who would want them removed from SL.
There is no obvious replacement club who could come up and compete and a 13 club league will be a no go for sure.
For better or worse I think they will get a licence for the next two years.

Nothing to do with the Huddersfield Giants.
If an employee doesnt agree to be TUPEd they in effect resign. Thats the risk of Administration and when buying a company where its assets are its employees.

In most cases it is players wanting to stay on with big contracts that causes the problem at clubs like Portsmouth not sure there have been many cases like this in professional sport and in "normal" administrations doubt many people would want to keep any employee who wanted out.

Don't think Halifax or Fev would agree with you to be fair. The Bulls have conned the RFL with regards to licensing and should go. End of!!!

| Can't believe the bulls fans still think they're being hard done to by the rfl and now you. In honesty they should have been punished even further a this season the salary cap was a live one so they have been breaking the cap by spending beyond their means. Rather than being forced to cut their cloth accordingly in the way Salford (smith to Wigan) and Cas (ferres to you and trying to sell chase) the rfl have actually paid them to out of their own money to break the rules that they set up! The whole situation is a complete farce and makes the game look like a complete joke.
