Every time i see him i get more impressed.

defensively is very solid certainly on a par with Bruno.

Attack wise still a bit raw but seems to have a bit of nouse. I would love him to get a run in the team for a few games.

yes wardle impressed again, out of all the younger lads who got a chance i think he shone the most.

as for getting a run in the team, he will have to push out lawrence or cudjoe and i cant see that happening yet...they are both ahead of him at the moment.

Cudjoe needs to start playing to his potential or his place in the side could come under real pressure from Wardle.

He's been asked to do something slightly different this year so far IMO but he lacks a bit of self belief. Hopefully he'll find a bit of form sooner rather than later and as he matures his self belief/mental strength will improve.

Thought Wardle was superb in defence last night and he deserved a try to top off his performance!
But Cording looked impressive and Molloy ran hard when he had his chance!
Will be interesting to see if they are re-selected for Catalan game...

I would imagine we will see Nathan Brown picking what he considers his strongest seventeen for the Catalans game providing everyone is fit. So the youngsters may have to wait a bit longer for another chance.

Molloy certainly has good feet for a big lad too.

Today i think we played our best outside backs in the positions they should play in. Thought Leroy and Lawrence played better tonight than all season.

Wardle played well and with more game time will be an important player for the Giants for the rest of the season IMHO

I agree, as I left the stadium I said "That is the best back line we have had all season" and it certainly showed. Wardle was fantastic and Bruno & Leroy work well together. Not sure what will happen when Simpson is fit, I like Simpson but I'm not sure where he fits into the team now.

You can say that about a lot of our players though can't you.

Wardle first try was good , and loved the hand off on meli too. I think it was meli....not sure if he was really there last night...wardles boots outshone him

Pleased for Joe that he bagged his 1st try...i've almost forgot he's an inexperienced youngster now the way he has fitted into the side.
Definitely one for the long term future.

No he is one for NOW.

He needs to be playing NOW, getting experience NOW, developing a relationship with his winger NOW and then being ready for the BIG games later this year.

He has shown more than either Hodgson or Simpson who are the only realistic changes we can make in the backs. Neither of them should come back in for Wardle at the minute.

Anyone know how bad his injury is?
