i think was the crowd tonight?
when you see that figure it doesn't look good does it, but when you think it was a tuesday night,not only that but a 7PM KO will very little away support it doesn't seem that bad really.

so even though it mainly the ST holders tonight it was still a pretty decent turnout considering it was a stupid time for a RL game, in past years a tuesday night fixture against salford would have attracred 3000-3500 i reckon.

It's very rare we take LiL H to night time games but he was so tied but wanted to come. Flat out in bed now!

I didnt realise we have thousands offf Child supporters, our fans need to forget about excuses and get to games home and away. I have always wondered why our fans cant be d to support our team. Every other sports team always copes with good support. I know some have excuses BUT we all know the fixtures and that games on a friday are vert likley with Sky Tv. Less excuses more support.

we do have a lot of families and children who watch us, a lot of them were probably on holiday with it being the easter holidays and a lot will have been away for the weekend and probably didn't fancy getting the kids sorted out and getting to the ground for 7PM,as i've said previously our crowds have increased but tonights crowd was up around 2500-3000 from what we would have had a few years back.
yes it would be nice to see bigger crowds but i guess most clubs would suffer from a lower than average crowd at 7PM on a tuesday night after a busy easter weekend.

Agreed. Plus not all Giant's fans live and work in Huddersfield, for example the old boy was away tonight. It was always going to be a below average crowd. Compared to where we have been - I'd take 6k at 7pm on Tuesday night.

. Have just got back. I did not take the three kids tonight. I dont blame anyone for not taking the kids as they can be a real pain when they get tired and mucks up their routines.

When youi find someone to have kids with you might be a bit more sympathetic. In the meantime stop bagging our support. We get enough of it from trolls without you joining in.

That is not what i am getting at, it annoys me when people will find any excuse to not go to our games i understand not everyone makes it too all the games however when people make up excuses for other people not been there, you are not telling me that about 30% off our home fans had a excuse for not going tonight, It is rubbish! ok then where where 2,000 off our fans today then? I just dont see why we always stick up and make excuses for fans not present, when we all know when the games are going to be times days. We are too eager to defend them.

I would rather defend them than straight out condemn them when I don't know them all or their circumstances.

People have their reasons, whether you agree with them or not, and standing in judgement on them wont convince them to attend. It's a waste of time and energy that would be better focussed on what could be done to get them out. And ultimately the crowd was always going to be down, I don't think there's a club in the land that wouldn't see a drop off in attendance for a game like tonights.

We got 8k regulars now? I'd have said round 7k judging by our crowds this year to date.

Not quite sure why anyone has to justify which games they attend, maybe £21 on the gate puts a few off at Easter time.

i actually thought for a Tuesday night 7pm kick off with about 56 away fans and many people missing due to work, family commitments etc it wasnt that bad a crowd.....dont forget 7/8 years ago we just about got this kind of crowd ona sunday v Bradford or Leeds with 70% away fans !!

Easter weekend/Tuesday night/weather/live on Sky/work/family commitments/families on holidays/etc aren't really good excuses. There were 27,000 at Stoke City last night. The wild fluctuations for some teams are hard to get your head around.

Why aren't they good excuses? Because to you they aren't relevant? Well to other folk they are because they stop them attending. It doesn't really matter whether or not you think they're important or if they'd stop you attending, so get over yourself.

A football attendance is completely irrelevant to this discussion. This is a different sport. Were there any special offers for that game? Don't football regularly host Tuesday games? Different sport, different marketing, different regular fixture times. Apples and oranges, but don't let it stop you talking rubbish and criticising for the sake of it.
