| Distinctly C&G this time:
Quote Huddersfield Giants provide the biggest contingent with six, including uncapped quartet Shaun Lunt, Leroy Cudjoe, Luke Robinson and Darrell Griffin.
Robinson has been preferred to Warrington scrum half Richie Myler, who has paid the price for a loss of form towards the end of the season, while in-form threequarter Leroy Cudjoe completes a fairytale season with a call-up. '"

| And 2 of the players have come through our youth development + Lunt being given his SL opportunity by the Giants. Well done the players and the club.

| this is brilliant for the club... 6 players in the england team !!! just goes to show how far the giants have come, few years ago it was only wild getting a look in.
just hope they dont suffer burnout for us next season or pick up any injuries but will be great experience for the lads.
LUNT - quite lucky to get in really, dont think his form has been as good as this season but if hes played at hooker for england he can do a good job
CUDJOE - great experience for him travelling with the squad, think mac will go with hall and briscoe though but cudjoe will do a good job if he gets his chance.
ROBINSON - really pleased for him, had his best season this year for us, great tackler and like a little terrier ! no doubting his commitment, even cancelled his wedding for this.. well done robbo !
GRIFFIN - Our best prop this season without a doubt
CRABTREE - mid season i wouldnt of picked him for england but improved lots back end of season and in the play offs looked back to old form, can do the job he did in the last series!
BROWN - Very underrated, vital cog in our team... him and tompkins as the playmakers??

| Fantastic news, and I think Bruno won't be too far off a call up if he improves like he's done this season, he' only 20.

| brough could of been in with a good shout too if he didnt opt for scotland
giants could have half the team in a few years
looking across the board it seems lunt and griffin are getting the most dissaproval but griffin has been immense this season..

Congratulations to Robbo. It is not often you get to go on tour for your country.
Commiserations to laura. There are plenty more fish in the sea. Just Pm me and i will pass on my mobile number.
Seriously though it shows a great deal of commitment by Robbo and well done to laura in supporting him.

Do you have the "disable BB code" option in the signature control panel selected?

| great news for the club and for those 6 guys.
it is testament to the sheer hard work our club have done over the last few years, when you think that 2 of them have come through our academy, 2 were deemed surplus to requirements at the current sl and have improved no end under our tutelage,1 was playing in national league 2, 2 years and the other was a player even wakefield fans were glad to see the back of!
to think that our "crappy little club" now provides more players for the national squad than any of the big, successful clubs is something all huddersfield fans should be proud of.

| great news for the players and the club and imo all totally justified, having to pinch myself that giants have one in the squad so six is incredible hats off to mcnamara for having the sense to pick players on merit not reputation.

| Absolutely.
A slow steady rise from
"well, we might avoid relegation" to "You'll compete in at cup finals, semi-finals football and be considered for international selection"
This is a huge pat on the back to Sir Ken, Nathan and all the staff at the Giants.

| A Quick scan through other club boards seem to rubbish Robinson`s selection. What they do not take into account is his defensive work. The lad takes on any forward regardless of size, and I would bet he has done more tackles than any other scrum half. And he is no slouch if there is a gap to nip through.

| Robbo has been in great form for the last 12 weeks or more and IMO his selection is justified. Opposition forwards run at him time and again yet he fronts up and deals with it admirably and this part of his game is where NB & PA have really helped him. Add in that he has got that knack of finding that gap at dummy half and backs up breaks and I don't see why people can question his selection. Injuries to his positional rivals make his selection a no brainer and if he actually plays I think he'll do a great job.

| All six deserve their place in the squad. I feel for mason too as he's been solid all year and wouldn't of been far off a call up.
These selections bode well for Fartown and will increase our stature throughout the game and help us push onwards and upwards in Super League

Mase has had a great season, but I wonder if Macbananarama thought it might be a little unwise to include both him and Fielden in the same side.
It would certainly lead to a lively dressing room

| The squad does worry me though. The outside backs look weak (toby clubb is a joke)
and i see no one in the squad with a decent long kicking game to relieve the pressure the Aussies and NZ will put us under.

| Not trying to bag here as it is obviously a success to get so many players in the squad, but how many would be in the side?
For me, it would only be Kev Brown. I rate Griffin but i feel Fielden is the better player, and think we can manage with 3 props as we have Burgess who can rotate between 2nd row and prop.
I expected Crabtree to really kick on this year, but I haven't seen dominating the opposition like I expected (although I have only had limited viewing).
Cudjoe will be in the England side in a couple of years, but where is his best position? I think the centres for England are sorted (even with the lack of quality), FB will be Widdop or Tomkins (the other at 6) and the wingers should be Hall and Briscoe (With Goulding as backup).
Robinson is like Burrow for me, a good SL player but will be ineffectual at international level (although this is the same for many of our backs).
Lastly, I expected big things of Lunt this year, but has him been playing out of position a reflection on his performances, or a need to have Brown, Brough and Robinson on the field at the same time?

I expect Brown, Robinson as a hooker and Crabtree off the bench have a good chance.
