| Our recent record against Wire is Dire so maybe time for a shake up of the team to see if we can get one over on them
Hodgson
Cudjoe
Wild
Gilmour
Hodgson
Brown
Brough
Mason
Robinson
Griffin
Fa'alogo
Raleigh
Lunt
Faiumu
Crabtree
Patrick
Kirmond
Lawrence and Grix to make up the 19
That would give us the Strength down the middle to hold the Wire forwards and hopefully tire them out a bit to make some gaps for the halves and the bench to exploit. Wire have won the forward battle in all three of their games with us this season. They must however feel that the season is catching up with them. If we can get their forwards on the back foot we can make it harder for them to play an expansive game. It would also give us some steel in the centres to deal with Atkins and Bridge.
I feel sorry for Lawrence but he is being played out of position on the wing and Leroy should be told his job is to score tries which is what he has done so effectively this year.

| I think you are being a bit harsh on Lawrence. He is strong in defence at that's what we need. To be honest we need to nullify their defensive force then we can build a platform. Our recent history has been that they are quick out of the blocks and hit is with some force. If we have a skinny 10m like Saturday we are pretty much screwed.

| Gilmore isnt a centre, neither is Cudjoe the same as Lawrence isnt a winger.
Bruno to centre, Cudjoe to the wing and Gimore back into the pack
Lunt at hooker, Fiumu at 13

| Why the need for all the changes. We were not gret on saturday but the problem was attack based the defence was sound.
Bring Mason back and maybe Raleigh and that would be it for the changes.
Why is Cudjoe not a centre?
I would say he is a very good centre and it is definately his best position.

| Actually, our attack was poor because our forwards were too light, Lunt and Fiumu in the second row wasnt enough to get us on the front foot.
We will definately need more beef against Wire.

| I thought the main problem was not keeping hold of the ball and the fact we tried to play a game plan suited to dry conditions instead of keeping it in the forwards a bit more.
Lunt is not the biggest but he still provides good go forward in the pack as well as good defencive ability. He has not played hooker for weeks so to totally change the game plan and play him their would be a huge risk. I think his big problem at hooker is his erratic distribution.
I agree about adding some size to the pack and this can come from Mason and Raleigh. Faiumu for me is fine as a replacement forward coming on and causing havoc with his sidestep.

| I think we have to go with 4 proper props on the sheet though
Griff, Mase, Crabtree and Patrick have to all play.

| Yes, we do seem to have a lot of 2nd row players there...
Falogo & Raleigh in the 2nd row for me
Kirmond on the bench

| We need to improve our completion rate by around 40%.
Fa'alogo was extremely quiet on Saturday, we need him to have a big game next hit out.

| Now I totally agree with both those statements...
I thought most of our players were, for the most part, quiet.
Bret Hodgson was impeccable cleaning up at the back, but is offense was very muted.
But that might have been down to the fact our forwards didnt seem to be taking any drives in the first half.

| We lacked intensity apart from Griff and Larn in the pack IMO.
We stood off in defence when we should have been flying out. It wouldn't have mattered if we were offside as Thaler and his assistants weren't the slightest bit interested in policing it. Whether we were a bit arrogant and took them a little lightly I don't know, but we certainly weren't our usual selves. If we play like that this weekend we will get pumped.

| Wierdly, I am a bit glad we played like that this weekend, if we had slaughtered Cru we might have been underprepared for next week.
This way they [ishould[/i be totally pumped for the real crunch game against Wire.

| horne was out 4th prop saturday but did he even play the second half or much of the first?
for a long time we had one prop on the field, faiumu was playing prop!
crabtree, griffin, mason , patrick the forwards for wire game
keep kirmond in the team, hes ahead of horne, finnegan and ralieigh for my money in the second row.
will be a good match, think we took crusaders too lightly on sat but will have a diff mindset for this game.
hopefully the cup has taken it out of wire, just like it did to us last season... but having said that the theory hasnt worked against leeds looking at there result lastnight.
come on the giants lets do it!!!

| We could also do with a dry pitch then Faiumu can work his magic. Saturday's wet greasy pitch didn't suit his style at all.

I would love a dry pitch, it would let us (Wire) play are natural game and throw the ball around more.

Is Hicks likely to be back? Seems to score plenty of tries against us.

| tbh i woundnt want to play warrington on a dry pitch as through the hands they are better than us they showed on friday they got an early lead but the wet conditions really affected their play. and we need to keep this game as tight as we can for aslong as we can not saying i like wet conditions but they have heavily beat us twice on 2 dry pitches this season
