Why is it that every big game, there's never any atmosphere to help the game. We always get called the Birmingham City of Super League, why don't we do something about it to make coming to the Galpharm more interesting? Why don't we make a big sign? It's just a suggestion. We need to do something, the most we have is a fat kid throwing pieces of neatly cut up paper around, and Big G coming into the stand with his drum.

This is the post of the year, i could not agree more. Our lads at the back claim they sing and say we dont need a drum but when do they sing when Big G is not banging the drum never. Its about time they realise that they are not singing. I went to the back when we played hull kr and me and my mates sang as we are used to it at town games and all we got was funny looks rather than people joining in. Its about time mainly next season that we step it up, come up with new songs and create a atmosphere.

Ps im sat in Manchester airport and i have seen a few giants fans. Lets claim 5th.

It might help if the attempts at "We all hate Lids" crap chants were cut out, it really p*sses people off. We're there to watch Fartown not sing about a shower of sh*t just up the road from here. Town fans especially seem to be infatuated with singing about Lids for some reason

As I have previously explained in great detail.

The problem has come about due to filtering of the core group of fans over a wide area, this was the fall out from the cheap season ticket deal as previously people had Season Tickets but were not forced to sit in them, therefore congregated together.

Those at the back used to sit the row in front of several of the older fans who were then able to start the chants off for them to add voice to. Nowadays it's the other way round and just doesn't work.

It also doesn't help that nobody other than the back 10 rows joins in with any of the chants. There doesn't seem to be an interest in joining in with anything, therefore after a few weeks of trying without any response people just give up.

I think we should just make an effort on the First play-off game to make the atmosphere when the teams come out the best, doubly so if we play crusaders, as the games against teams with little support are p*ss poor in terms of atmosphere, a small tifo, big giants shirt or a large sing-song of can't help falling in love would make the game that much better, and would spur on the team as well!

I'm relatively new to thus chat game, but ,y family and I have the reason theres no support, we havent got any songs to sing. Lets have a competition to make up songs, print them in the programme on matchday, put them on the screen, lets learn some new songs. Drum banging and 'GIANTS' doesnt cut it, nor does 'FARTOWN'. Still use these, but lets please add to the repertoire of the fans, I'd like something to sing, the poor lads barely get any support in the way of noise, unless they're about to score. Come on fans, lets get composing!!!!!!

the fact bwt the atmosphere is we havent got the biggest home support and when u spread that oout in a 24 thousand seater stadium there never id gonna be huge noise or a big atmosphere also this season games like crusaders quins catalan wakefield cas salford we have battered them and when ur watching ur team score most of the time yh its good coz we are winning but makes the game it self flat n dull n the atmosphere doesnt build n well i cnt see us having a massive atmosphere on sats celtic wont bring that many n tbf to them they out sang us when we played them but if a low away crowd and a decent win witch i think will again and to a flat low atmosphere so if ur wanting one of them could be wanting a close game now id rather get a good win and then take a good crowd n atmosphere to the away game if we win

Don't think thats fair TBH cos I sit about 7 rows from the front,by the halfway line and join in with my kids in all the songs clapping ect, loads round me also get involved now, but there are still too many that look at you like you have 2 heads when you sing/shout ect, I look back as if to say it's you who is nuts for just sitting there like a lemon!!!

I think we should get an ultra together, liven Kilner Bank up a bit!

It's worse in lawrence batley side (I lost track of what they call it now?). I sit in the middle right next to the press and posh seats at the very back of the lower tier and you could hear a pin drop. If I shout 'offside' or 'forward' people turn round and look at me funny, let alone when me and my sister try singing along when Big G bangs his drum. The other week I was feeling particularly strongly about something and was having a good old rant - the old bloke in front of me turned round and asked me to keep it down! That seems to be the attitude of a lot of our supporters, these are the same people that walk out 10 minutes before then end when its a draw though.

As has been said before its difficult to get an atmosphere in such a large stadium when the fans are so spread out. However I don't think it helps that when people do try singing etc all they get is funny looks. It used to be a really good atmosphere when I sat at the top of the Kilner Bank but then I got sick of certain ones swearing in chants as I have a 3 year old stepdaughter who went home singing about the ref's lack of a father, that was an awkward phone call!

Basically unless the club are going to do something to get the fans more involved I dont see the atmosphere getting any better. However I will continue to shout and cheer and get funny looks, as long as we are playing our best and winning games I'm not too worried!

Haha my mate came up with that for town.

We need to start to put some effort in, plus repeat the songs more than once so more people can join in. Its very simple but a lot of our fans dont like change. Im used to singing at town games so im not fussed. One more thing to those who sit at the back. Stop sitting down, trust me that will kill the atmosphere, stand up and i bet that you will sing more.

Plus we need a DRUM.

i'm all for making more noise and getting behind the team but please not drums.
