Was Jon Sharp assistant here, before becoming assistant at Saints then our Head coach?? If thats the case how about for an outside bet Kieron Purtill?? Same pathway...

think if you are looking at NRL you wont be able to attract a no1 coach. gonna have to go the wigan route and get an assistant, not having a go, i think prob all SL clubs would struggle to get one.

I would not be surprised if we saw Baloo get the coaches job with a more experienced person working with him like a director of football in charge of recruitment, overall responsibility for development, mentor for Baloo etc.

I am not sure we would get another Aussie after what has happened. As the club have stated the way for development is through the academy and bringing young players through this would be a reasonable option.

He's been suggested as possible head coach for us next year. Not sure about the likelihood but he's certainly in the frame.

Just searching to find out what Folkes is doing at the moment and note that he is strengh and conditioning coach at Wests. Which raises the question; what are Bumpers coaching credentials?

Mr Hood said there has been plenty of interest and they were still going through formalities with CVs etc.


I imagine they have a few ideas on who the better candidates who have applied are.

latest in the exmainer mentions no decision will be made on a replacement for brown till a board meeting

but expected that anderson steps up.. id go with that, keep some continuation as to what brown has started, a new coach would bring in his own ideas whereas anderson would carry on the good work by brown.

He might be tight lipped, but the overall impression I get is that he will be recommending Baloo.

Baloo was on Radio Leeds this morning confirming he was interested in the job.

I think if he doesn't get the job this time he should be told that he'll be next in line and that only an Aussie coach should be getting a job ahead of him IMO because their methods are more advanced, thus providing him another learning opportunity prior to taking over.

Why keep putting it off, he has had a number of years as assistant, learning the ropes and will have picked up alot especially from N Brown.
Baloo has indicated he wants to be at the club by signing a 2 yr deal, he is thought of very highly in coaching circles and has respect both from the players and in the game in general this IMO says he is the man for the job.
