I agree, fantastic at his best but would be a backward step IMO.

I last heard he had signed for Salford to replace the departing Robbie Paul...oh the old rumour mill is up and running again...great!

They've signed Tommy Lee from hull to replace Robbie.

With Bumper doing the conditioning and the way Nathan has us playing I would bite his hand off for a 1 year deal.

Still more than capabe of MOM / gamebreaking performances. Has a skill set that can challenge the better opposition.

If he can give us 13-15 games (he has played 19 so far in SL09) then he offers high level cover in the halves/hookers and some skills we do not currently posses.

(If he cold bring Grix along with him, that would be even better!!)

Would like to see the wages reflect that number of games though Marsden. If they reckon he's only going to play ~60% of the games he can't feasibly be a top earner if he does return.

I would bring Drewy back for a year - his experience and know how could also help some of the younger guys .

He's still playing well, knows the place, still knows half the players so yeah i would have him !

With signings like Fa'alogo / Gilmour and Eorl's new deal I doubt we are talking silly money.

we are aiming for the future, signing drew would be a huge backwords step, we need a hooker who we can have for a few years and has plenty to offer us.

Does he want to stay here? I would have thought it would be his dream to replace Cunningham at Saints...a few have said that he would be happy enough to stay if clubs could agree, don't know how true that is.

backwards step for me, think we have enough cover at hooker as it is, especially if robbo goes to hooker too, to be honest cant see it myself, i do know though that drew recommended grix to us, so half the rumour may be right.

Given the amount of times we have been linked with him since he left you would imagine there is some truth to it. He won't be at Wakey next year, so maybe he wants to finish his career with the Club he feels most attachment to. He'll sign.

Grix would be a very clever buy, is he confirmed?

I have every respect for Brad Drew and have no doubts that he could do a job for us for one season.

I am concerned that Browns injury is serious and that he will be out longer term. We need some cover in the halves and at Hooker. Drew gives us that.

If it is true i fully support NBs judgement.

i was told at hull match that grix was certain to sign from a very good source not heard owt yet but hes usually spot on.

Is Brown's injury the same as the one Aspinwall had which required a full knee reconstruction?

according to the club they are in no rush to do a scan. They have said that it is a medial ligament. I am sure i read somewhere that KB thinks he has done his Cruciate as well and is worried he could be out for 9 months.
If it is his cruciate it probably would be an Aspy type reconstruction.
