There's rumours around Wigan that we are looking to secure his services for next season and it is almost a done deal. Has anybody heard anything of this rumour? Thanks in advance.

Yep, heard it here a while ago. Done deal I've been told.

Early in the season rumours of a fallout , with the coach, his brother, the club, take your pick, was left out of the team for a while, played in the reserves , and its unusual for first team squad to do that???.
Is a good forward and been an ever present for Giants until Nathan/brother arrived ???

I would be quite happy if you took him now. he is capable of so much more than he is giving now and i do not think his heart is in it. happy to let him go he is probably our 5th choice prop now.

To me, he doesn't seem to grab headlines but seems to do a job.

Can be superb when he applies himself, doesnt seem to be currently applying himself

Agree with the other poster - when he wants to perform he can be a sgood as any prop forward in the game but something is not right this year and it's not happening for him - oherwise he's a cracking player !

Same happened at Wakey, played really well for a couple of seasons and then just seemed to lose interest and became a liability. Constantly signalling to be subbed off, shirking the big hits and just generally plodding in attack - Hence the "teapot" monicker.

But he is a cracking prop when he wants to be.

I don't think he has got that bad yet. He is just playing very average. Last season he was outstanding and IMO one of the best props in SL. This season he is doing the basics and nothing more.

Agree with that. Last season he was probably our best prop. This season he's being out done by Crabtree and Mason for definite and probably by Jacko as well.

Which in a pack as stong as ours means no place for him.

It will be interesting to see how Sculthorpe gets on going forward too.

Mason has been awesome all season and Crabtree just gets better and better. Jackson is as consistant as ever which is not a problem as you know he is giving 100%. With Griffin though you get the feeling there is more to his game than what he is currently showing.

I thought Griff had a decent game on Friday, if he can recapture the form he had at the start of the season, Griff, Big Eorl and Mason can lay the foundations for a Wembley appearance and a good run in the playoffs.
I don't know the reasons why he had a dip in form but hope he gets his form back, when on song he's one hell of a player and a player who I hope, will help take the club up to next level to challenge Saints and Lids.

Had a very good solid game today and I think he impressed a certain coach in our stands today.

Rumour has it that with Coley signing back on at Wigan they have no requirement for an additional prop.

Griff's form has come back too - I wonder if these are related?

Saints need an extra prop and I'd definatley like to see Griffin on board with us. Always seems to make a good impressionin the go forward when I've seen him.

I think he signed a 3 year extension last year. Not 100% on this one though.

Griffin has a choice and I would personally like to see him stay. I think he has to put the past behind him and knuckle down and do what he does best on the field.
