| but it would be fair to say Nathan Brown made him what he is today.
he looked to be going nowhere at Cas and now he is an international hooker.
he has just signed a new 3 year deal at saints and i guess that after the season he has had at the Giants he will have cost saints £20,000 a year extra.

I agree compare him to his spells at Cas and Saints to what he is today and he is a completely different player. Fantastic effort from Brown he slightly did the same with Lee Mossop he has come back from you guys a much better player ever since his short time with the Giants. And although my feelings for Saints are not positive they have a player on their books that has the potential to be one of the best hookers in English RL.

If that post was pointed at me then if you read my post correctly I did say Scott Moore has the potential to be one of the best English hookers.

Time will tell.
However, I think Scott Moore's form dipped from the time Saints told Nathan Brown off for trying to poach him (remember those days, when Brown was saying how great he was?). I also think Nathan Brown was unprofessional about Scott Moore when he said on TV in response to someone's positive comment about Moore that for the second half of the season Lunt had been the better player. My feeling at that point was that maybe something had been going on behind the scenes to undermine Scott Moore as I have never heard a coach be so personally critical of a player when interviewed before.
While Nathan Brown may well have been a good hooker in his time, I'm glad Scotty is back with us under the guidance of another hooker who achieved great respect in both hemispheres. Clearly Moore is happy to be back with us anyway, given that he has signed a new three year deal.

I think that this was connected with the Mickey Rourke incident. It would be fair to say that Moore did blot his copybook unfortunately.
Potentially he is going to be very good but i think he will need a strong coach to keep him focused.
Despite this i think that Lunt has the potential to be better. But like all of these things only time will tell.

Ah, but. We've had Sean Long in our team for 12 years. Having a few beers with Mickey Rourke and backing out of a training session is nothing compared to what we've been used to! In fact, it could be seen as a badge of honour.

Perhaps. We probably have a handbook of guidance for coaches somewhere, for dealing with players going off the rails!

I haven't seen enough of Lunt to judge. But I hope we get two very good hookers/halves/whatever they turn out to be because that can only enhance our game overall, both nationally and internationally.

Shh now pet. I saw you and your hubby at Old Trafford for the grand final at the 500 club. I thought Your husband is a lucky man to have a lovely lady like you. I was going to make a move but when I saw how much you drink and nagged him, I had 2ND thoughts.
Still if you fancy swapping numbers we can. PM me Love and we can meet in the gas club next season.
Nice to see Eorl & Mason at Grand Final. I might pop over for Eorls X-Factor night and give Mr Gene a run for his money.

I think when a player goes from playing as well as Scott Moore did up to the point where Saints told Nathan Brown off, and then he fell away, and Nathan Brown compared him with Lunt on a TV interview, it is very justifiable to wonder whether something has been going on behind the scenes rather than it just being a straightforward case of the player's form falling away or that player being 'rubbish'. Two have a season divided so neatly into two, performance wise, is just curious. But as someone else said, time will tell.

| Your views are so heavily one sided it is untrue.
Did it ever enter your head that Lunt may actually have genuinely played better? In general this season Moore has had far more accolades than Lunt in the press, there was no harm in what Brown said and IMO your opinion is clouded because Moore is a Saints player. As for Saints telling Brown off; please!
The one thing Brown is for sure is straight up with his players. Moore wasn't the only one to fall foul of him in disciplinary terms this season with Griffin and Mason two obvious examples.
Moore needs to look at his own attitude and application, you don't just explain away his drop off in form because he doesn't have his ego massaged every farts end by the coach.

| over the entire season to me lunt was far better, moore makes more errors than lunt on a regular basis, so what we saw for england last night is how scotty as played most of the year, i for one think he will go backwards again at saints unfortunately, i do agree though once saints complained about browny tapping him up his form went.

Maybe he is/was but that wasn't my point. It was extremely unprofessional of your coach to say on TV that Lunt was the better player. I simply have not heard a coach ever do that before on TV. If Nathan Brown is prepared to be so unprofessional on TV then I wonder what he is prepared to say behind the scenes?
And yes, Saints did 'tell Brown off' - for taking advantage of the loan arrangement because at that time Nathan Brown was making noises about wanting to offer Scott a permanent contract at Hudds while he was still contracted to us. It was fully reported in the RL press, with quotes.

Brown is open and honest. Hard to come to terms with is it?
The Giants were up front with McManus - no dodgy dealings.
You have him we do not and that is it. At his best a top hooker. At his usual for thet last 3 months a liability and we are well rid.

Fine by me. Given the contract we have offered him we clearly saw potential, which no doubt Cunningham will help develop.

That wasn't what he said though, was it. He said he was playing better, not that he was the better player. Check the quotes! Ha ha! Although to be fair from your pontificating so far it's clear you haven't heard much, or at least choose to hear only certain things. He's only unprofessional in your opinion because you think Scott Moore can roll over and sh*t Mars bars. Brown got coach of the year, Moore got stood down for going out on the p*ss when he should have been focussing on the play offs. But hey, Moore is superb and Brown unprofessional according to you. Go figure! I wonder why?!
Transparency alert...
You don't half talk some rubbish. Get over yourself.
How one eyed are you. It's laughable.
