It makes me laugh, I left 5 mins before the end on Thursday and to the morons who call people like me non supporters I'll share something !!!

I left home for work in Sunderland at 6.30am, drove from Sunderland to the JS and arrived at 6.30pm left the game 5 minutes early got back home to Barnsley at 10.30pm and was up and off to work at 6.30am and will have the same next Thursday distance driven 296 miles !!!!

That's less than when I went to Hull KR away and Wigan both over 300 miles the Hull KR nearer 400 miles !!!

So to all you self righteous 'we are the supporters' look in the mirror 'mate' and don't dog people off when you don't know the full story !!!!

Let other people support as they see fit I've been going 51 years missed one match in France this season and if I want to beat the traffic after my day/journey don't tell me I'm a non supporter did I see you at Bramley, Huyton, Blackpool Borough, Kent Invicta and many more when we lost every week ????

It amazes me when people criticise without knowledge but then it says an awful lot about them !!!

I can see why you're annoyed but don't let it get to you. Everybody thinks they are the greatest fan however many games they attend. I know I've been going longer than plenty here but I don't attend every game. Peoples circumstances change and so do their priorities. I couldn't care less what people think because I don't go to Catalan or London.
You pays your money and you takes your choice. Don't let some spotty little di@k who might have attended every game for three seasons wind you up just because you left early for one game. Life's too short to get wound up over things like this.

I don't think I'm the greatest fan far from it but I want the right to attend the games and be left in peace not having some dipstick tell me I'm not a fan when I go five minutes early to beat the traffic from a game that at 8-22 was long lost !!!

Maybe one of the reasons we don't get more is that we abuse our fans if they don't do what WE think is right !!!

I have had a season ticket since the days at Fartown as have many people I know but cos we don't sing and chant or leave five minutes early on the odd occasions we are 'not fit' to be supporters talk about a 'blinkered ' view !!!!!

I dont think it helps when we're losing .....funnily enough when we're winning these shouts aren't heard it seems to be when we've lost a game, maybe the ones who do it are just peed off cos we've lost so take it out on those leaving early as they see them as deserting the team etc i dunno ?.

There's people round me who regularly leave early winning or losing, that's there choice to, if its a close game then they may miss the winning try or something but they choose to ....it is wrong though ateotd people pay their money and therefor have the right to decide when they leave.

There is no such thing as a 'better' fan in my eyes, everyone who comes to every is as equal as the one who picks and chooses as they are there for one thing only and that's to support the Giants.

So after iinforming us about all that , you still couldn't be bothered waiting 5 mins to applaud your team off ?

Well Mr Tarbrush you are the exact specification of the idiot I was speaking about earlier 'abuse' the Fartown /Giants fans who turn up and maybe you'll be happy when there are 3,000 there.

If you are going to 'spout off' maybe a rant about the 'missing' 3,700 from the home match before may be far more appropriate !!

296 miles for a match is great going by fans of any sport but good god, do you have any regard for the environment?

I have no problem at all with anyone leaving early for whatever reason they have. What I have an issue with is some of the idiots who were sat around me being negative from the first whistle. 'Grix you're rubbish', 'don't know why I came they always choke in the big games', 'You can tell Wigan want it more', 'They need to start giving 100%'...I could go on, and this was the first 20mins so you can imagine what the rest of the game was like. I managed to shut them up for 5mins when I suggested maybe they should try supporting the team they'd paid to see but they soon started up again. And these aren't new fans. We only won the LLS 2 weeks before and they were celebrating and now apparently it 'means nothing'. I for one would be happy for a few less on the gate and just have those who really are there to SUPPORT the Giants.

A real shame that our own fans are abusing newbies & long time season ticket holders.

Yeah I think it's really sad that supporters of a club can't get together and support each in their own way !!

One thing I have noticed is that all clubs have issues not just the Huddersfield fans and mainly it's when a team loses. For example there's a Wigan thread Wane out,a Leeds thread McDermott out, a Hull thread Gentle out and that's Cup Finalists and the last Grand Final winners at least we haven't got there yet !!

How some of the current RL fans would have coped supporting Huddersfield in the dark days God only knows but then even if a team has not got the players it's easy to support your team provided they appear to give 100%.

But a rugby league fan has his moan goes home and comes back ready to support the following week and in reality doesn't give a monkey's what others say after all we just want a good honest performance win or lose !!!

Well it makes a change from having a go at the latest scapegoat in the team.

Understand what? That our fans are good at getting on the backs of people whether it be on other boards, our own fans or players!
Plenty of us on here went to fartown. Plenty of memories good and bad from there but to be honest more to do with my grandad than the team. I look at things in a similar way to paul anderson. Personally I'm glad we've moved on!

Personally I don't really care if anyone thinks i'm a loyal fan or not.

As for other people if they pays their money they can say what they want.

I'd rather it was positive stuff but it's human nature to be critical.

Same old same old every one on here has a moan now and again.

If the team doesn't play well people will debate over why it's a forum for debate, good or bad. No one in any job has the right to be exempt from criticism or advice.

If I get my forecast wrong at work people will have a grumble this is no different my boss or team wouldn't say he's great if I get it wrong. I'd get some constructive criticism so despite the fact I wasn't going to as I think Wigan played the game/conditions better here is mine for what it's worth.

We were a forward light last week Shaun Wane saw this and got his game plan just right and it was aided by 80 minutes of rain.

Wigan played to the edge of what Bentham allowed and were in our faces for 80 minutes. We stood back and let a big pack get momentum in nearly every run.

We tackled well but far too often because our completion rate was poor and we kept dropping the ball on the first tackle.

It proved to me against the top side we need an extra forward and Kyle Wood is a luxury when Fuey can spell Lunty for 20/25 mins.

We didn't play that badly just our attack and famous left side was snuffed out by a Wigan side that had three men on Brett Ferres every time.

So no disaster just a need for a better plan and a tweak of the team 'in my opinion!!!' For me Baloo got it marginally wrong and margins are very fine at this level in these games.

There's no reason why we shouldn't beat Hull and then Wire or Wigan but we need the right plan and it to be executed properly on the day.

If the other team has a better plan or plays better on the day move on as no team has the right to win or be told they have done well if they haven't.

Might infuriate a few on here but I've never understood why someone would want to leave a game early in the first place. I could understand it if they were going to miss their last train or bus home but anything else bewilders me. You spend your hard earned money to watch an 80 minute game and end up leaving 5 minutes before its finished. You could miss the greatest try of all or even a once in a life time comeback to save a few minutes in traffic. I wouldn't have a go at anyone who does leave early by me as its up to them but I wouldn't do it.

The funniest thing I've seen was when I was watching Town v Lincoln in the JPT. We were 2-0 down going into injury time and the majority of the crowd had left. We went on to score 2 goals in injury time and then became the first team to win by the golden goal. All those who opened their morning papers must have thought it was a misprint showing town had won.

Personal choice but I stay every game to applaud the players off the field - often by the time they do leave most of the fans have left or are well on their way.

Not blaming others - you takes your choice - but find it hard to understand personally. Perhaps that's just me though.

Can understand for those who leave early when they have a long journey ahead, had a long day, have young kids or are elderly etc... But that does not account for most who seem to want to get away at first opportunity.

Getting away from JSS is a lot easier than most stadiums in RL surely???

It's a 15-20 minute walk to the bus station for most people. Most buses leave in a 10 minute window around the hour. Most matches on a Sunday end about 10 to the hour. You are cutting it very fine to catch a bus if you wait for the match to end. Then you have the fact that most people are ignorant and can't form a queue and for most people it will be leave early or wait for another hour.

Evening matches are worse as the buses around 10 o'clock seem to be a little bit earlier and matches finish 5-10 minutes later. For a lot of people travelling by bus leaving after the match means not getting home until 20-30 minutes after 11. After sitting in the soul-crushing, dystopian nightmare that is Huddersfield bus station after 9pm for about an hour. There simply is no choice.

Often after matches on a Friday night I've walked the 4 miles home becasue I got there far quicker than I would by bus, but that isn't an option for some people. I find I am far more willing to stay to the end after buying a car than I ever was wehen I travelled by bus. Often a

Depends - I now park at gasworks, which is very easy to get out from & back towards the m'way, because the gestapo at the official stadium carpark insist on keeping cars back for at least 30 minutes (over an hour at the Hull/Wire semi!), presumably to wind them up so they'll speed and get a fine on the way home!

Salford, however still win the 'longest delay to get out the carpark' award

The other official car park doesn't keep anyone back- but you need to have a ticket for it. If it wasn't for the fact that those coming out of the stadium don't stick to pavements it wouldn't be necessary to keep the rest back to prevent an accident.
