Just got back, the only thing im dissapointed about is the amount of fans we took, must have been 300 tops. Thought we played well considering we had 6 potential 1st team players out including our captain. We had 3 tries disallowed but the referee was garbage for both teams. Just hoping we get some players back soon and take some confidence into next week!

Your team and recent performances deserve more away support IMO - would agree about the ref, but year on year players and coaches move on up and improve and year on year we have to put up with garbage controlling/ruining things in the middle.

I stupidly thought full time refereeing would make a difference but sadly I think things have got worse. Its not the major decisions its the basics they seem to get wrong. I knew things were bad tonight when people near me wished Ganson was refereeing!!

I breathed a huge sigh of relief when Hodgson wasnt playing you guys certainly missed him. Agree about the ref tho he was awful for both teams. The Hodgson breakaway 'try' he disallowed was harsh imo as i didnt see anything wrong with it. Hopefully you lot will go a lot better next week

thought you were very "awkward" to play against, showed good defence and we had to scramble to shut down your attack. on another day you wouldve beaten us (definitely last year) but we are a different proposition this year and will take some beating especially when we start to put it together but it will be good to be up there with the likes of huddersfield competing again.

Clear knock on. How he gave a drop out for us when Hall clearly knocked the ball into touch when trying to touch down is beyond me...

According to reports knocked out in are of tackle and as per rules should have been play on, try would have stood had their being a video ref, maybe you saw something alot of others didn't? Harsh call from what I can make out.

Still not too downhearted with 6 first teamers missing put up a very good show.

Problem we all have is that it's not just 1 ref thats crap, it's the sodding lot of em.

If I was crap at my job then I would be sacked simple as, these clowns seem to get decisions wrong everytime they make one, glad they took up reffing and not brain surgery!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The linesman who gave it used to play for hull kr so it must have been as clear a knock on as you will ever see

Difficulty is that the ref makes 100's of decisions in a game and invariably some are incorrect. Also, they don't always have clear line of sight.

Mistakes I can live with, it's inconsistencies which really p1$$ me off

We complain that the refs shy away from making tough decisions but Mr Allibert had no second thoughts last night as he disallowed 3 of our 4 tries. Well done sir.

Clever ploy to position the big screen behind the away fans, then turn the screen off after a contentious decision is made. Each time I turned to look at it, it was blank, then it came back on as a scrum was forming, drop out being taken etc. Something our screen operator should adopt perhaps.



The game was well played by both teams and I didn't notice any niggling or nastiness between the players and played in good spirit. On the day, probably the best team won, but I'm not on a downer. We may have lost the battle but we are still in the war, so to speak. If we can play like we did with so many 1st teamers out and no captain then we could be in for a good season. Hull are vastly improved on last season and hopefully, like us will be challenging for honours this year.

Great crowd, sadly not by us, great stadium, great game, and just what superleague is all about. Roll on next week.

the big screen should not have any involvement for the referee, its there for the fans not the officials

as for your disallowed tries, all correct decisions, as prooved on tonights game when they showed hodgsons' no try

Don't think anything was prooved tonight. Thought Eddie said "Paul Cullen might have something to say about that on Wednesday's show". Paul Whatuira wasn't even looking at the ball when making the tackle from what I saw. It definately went forward off his arm but not a knock on according to the rules for me.

Anyway, history as you say, better team won on the day. Fitzgibbon a monster worker and best player on the pitch. Better execution from us would have made it a tighter game.

Hull and Giants for play off footie at end of year I think.

Very hard fought game which we did well to win. Great crowd but i have to say the Giants were deserving of a bigger following. As for the screen, it's always in that corner of the ground. i sit right at the other end, it's so far away i'd need a telescope to check out the replays. Hope you do well this year and make the top 4 like us.

With regard to the screen, that has always been there. Fridays game was the first time live action has been active. The only replays it did were for actual tries.

It was always going to be a tough game and for a while in the second half I thought Hull were playing to your hands by trying to barge up the middle.

When I looked to see why our try's had been disallowed they showed nothing yet showed the replays for your try's!!

Never mind it's todays chip paper!!

Tys have been given by the referee and therefore cannot be overruled if show on the screen. A video replay of the dissallowed ones may have caused the referee to change his mind and effected the game when there wasn't a video referal system in place.

Hence you wouldn't want to show the opponents disallowed tries.

Last season we did the same thing when we showed live action on the screen, there were NO replays. Nice to see Hull doing some editing on the fly and are able to show replays at all.

With these quality screens at quality stadia how long before Hudds and Hull are pushing for VRs at every game?

As long as we remember this when Hull get a perfectly good try dissallowed

Ref was terrible. End of the day the result was the right one I would have been well pi$$ed off if any of those try's had been given. Albert only disallowed the brown try on the touch judge say so which was correct imo although im going to say that aren't I. Good game 2 good tough teams

Wadski our screen with it's technology and software is able to do replays, but it's been decided by whoever that this isn't what our screen should screen, whereas the tv's in the concourse use the same streaming but show replays. Strange.

As for the replays on the Hull screen it did seem to play their tries but not ours whether given or not. but then again I went to the game to watch the action on the pitch not on a screen!
