| While the idea of the Hull protest has been rubbished by most Giants fans someone has come up with a very good idea.
Instead of rushing it to Hull and doing it half hearted we do it at the Magic Weekend! Their were many clubs fans contacted me via Twitter after our game on Sunday expressing their own disgust at the way the RFL treats clubs! Therefore the plan is to organise a STAND against the RFL. The RFL sees the Magic Weekend as it's greatest creation of recent years which is ironic as it has been a hub of bad decisions over the last couple of seasons!
Before anyone jumps on my back this is not just about Sunday. I personally are sick of the way smaller clubs are treated in our sport, and I believe it's time to take action.
I hope people will support this as it is less rushed and it is planned! This will hopefully affect how the sport is run!

| Count me out- the trolls have enough ammunition it's a waste of time and an embarrassing one. If you think a few dozen supporters out of a crowd of 30.000 is even going to be noticed amongst the oompah loompahs and morph suits you are way off the mark. What exactly are you hoping to achieve? The RFL to stand down?

| No trying to achieve change! Small minded people like you are why our sport stands still while RU and Football go on to bigger and better things! It will only be a 'few fans' if people like you keep saying 'Count me out'

| Football has millions of supporters- the fans moan about refs and the FA every week -people sign petitions and protest.....anything change as a result??? Do mistakes stop happening?
I'm not bothered whether you are being mean or not tbh I just think you are wasting your time and energy.

| Painful as Sunday was, we need to drop any ideas of standing against RFL etc. It won't get us anywhere, only to alienate us from other clubs fans.
There's no witch hunt or agenda.
Arrogance and incompetence yes, but I don't believe in the cold light of day even Bentham sets out to do 'little huddersfield'. Any form of organised demonstration would only force the RFL to back their refs more. Blindly so.
If we want to organise anything at either magic weekend or any other match, it should be to support the team. That would get my vote all day long.

| I agree with the above.
As a 'smaller' club we will always lose the 50-50 calls.
The standard of refereeing is poor, and in general the game isn't run very well. However I don't believe that there is any conspiracies.
I think this talk of protesting needs to stop. Even though it is something personal to the few that want to do it, you will be wearing our colours therefore indirectly representing the clubs supporters.
I do not want to be associated with such a thing, but other fans will just see the colours and we will all be stuck with the image.

| I'm surprised at a few Huddersfield fans referring to themselves as a 'little club'. With a population of roughly 146,000 you're hardly a little town.
The RFL want a competitive Super League. They want 'fresh' names on the Challenge Cup. This idea that somehow the officials have it in for you is laughable.
You're not bottom of the table whipping boys. You're one of the strongest clubs in Super League. It's a shame your chairman isn't more focused on marketing the club better to the Huddersfield public, instead of fuelling silly conspiracies. Conspiracies that are making you look a bit silly. And that's a shame cos you're a better club than that.

It should because you will start to look like small minded xenophobic's. Saints have been knocked out of the cup over the years by dodgy decisions (mostly against the Pies ).
This probably isn't the first time, and it definitely wont be the last time, that you will lose a game because of self perceived injustice.
The world isn't against you, it just struggles to get everything right all the time.

| We are small in regards of rugby league not population.
Despite finishing top last year people still do not class us as a "top 4 club"
I am fine with that. And as I said I do not feel there is a conspiracy. However if the rfl were put on the spot and forced to answer "who would you prefer in the challenge cup final" 100% they would say saints. Mainly due to fan base. I understand and accept this.
It's common sense.
And trust me, it wouldn't matter what Mr Davy did go advertise the club. We will never get 10,000 home fans.
Wigan won the fa cup last year and were in the premier league for years but there crowds in comparison to others were poor. It's just not a football town.
Maybe we aren't a rugby town.
Anyway, less,of the nonsense, I'm looking forward to tomorrow

| As the anger subsides you will see this a daft idea.
A little cheeky dig at Bentham with loads of drop goals in our next match he refs or something fair enough, but a full on protest is just ridiculous. We were robbed of our place but we need to move on...it's the game unfortunately. Let's concentrate on smashing Hull FC tomorrow and making sure we're top 8 and get a spot in the Grand Final!

| Protest against Genocide, protest against inequality, protest against the treatment of minorities or against the treatment of the poor and elderly. Protest against anyone of the serious issues that fill this world around us.
Don't protest about one drop goal disallowed by a fat bald buffoon.
Life's too short.

| We've all been "robbed" by dodgy decisions as long as the game has been played. I can reel off about a dozen but won't bore you other than to say you're not the first, won't be the last, but if you had 13 men on the field for the last 15 minutes we wouldn't be discussing this now

I think the Giants are missing a trick with the university. As someone who has just finished 3 years at Huddersfield Uni only a stones throw from the ground, there was barely anything aimed at the students. Occasionally we'd get an offer for £10 tickets but they were always for games against the likes of London, Catalan, Widnes etc. What would Huddersfield have had to lose by giving out free student tickets for the Saints game? Rugby league is a game people will get hooked on given the chance but getting a foothold with student fans wouldn't take that much effort in terms of advertising. Poster campaigns and messages spread through the student body aren't difficult to organise. Give them free tickets for some of the bigger games to get them hooked and you might be surprised how many might start going regularly. I'm a saints fan and used to take a load of my mates whenever we played there, a fair amount of them still attend games fairly regularly and there's more of them going all the time. The uni is expanding and with more and more student accomodation based around the middle of Huddersfield I think the potential is there to gain a lot more fans.

really - now my mate who went to the uni got tickets for £7 for EVERY match she attended!
looks like its a case of poor marketing again.

| i was aware of the uni discount tickets, but seemingly a lot of students didn't.
considering the university were our main sponsor for a few years ( both cup finals were worn with their name across the shirts!) i really don't think we did enough to entice more people from the uni.
old ground though we have gone over it lots of times on here previously.

| Instead of trying to organize a protest. Get all your like minded fans together and ask the RFL to put you on courses that will help the game.
You could learn to ref, Linesman, in goal touch job etc.
The officials are only people and if you can do a better job then volunteer. Without theses guys there would be NO games.
As another poster has implied It's only a sport not life and death enjoy.
