after watching the worst saints team in years yesterday Hull tore them apart but Hulls pack looks massive and made Saints look bad. saints picked up a lot of injuries as they seemed to get beat up badly

We need to hold them in the forwards so do we go for as big a pack as we have got or do we use quicker players and tire them out.

We need a good kicking game to turn their forwards around. I would much rather see them running back to get onside than using their energy running at our players

I would like to see fa' alogo start in the second row with Patrick at prop.

You have to give credit to Hull FC but Saints were awful and still managed to score 12 points. This is going to be one tough game and Hull's pack look very impressive and I think they just edge it with Mason being sidelined.

This game will be a big test but we must cut out the penalties if we want to win, as with many penalties conceded points are gained by the opposition.
The disappointing thing about the Bradford game was we were down 2 men in a 20 minute period so we were not able to show our full attacking potential but we certainly showed how solid our defence is.

To close to call for me.

I disagree Saints were poor they dominated for the first 15/20..however our pack dominated them and stopped them playing, our forwards forced the errors etc.Saints scored when we were down to 12 men. I think it will be a great game on Friday with some good rugby on display by both side, I am personally looking forward to the Horne brothers going head to head.

I think this will be a cracking game and two of the best packs in super league should batter each other for lots of the game.

We will really miss Mason though ,he was my player of the year last year ,he never took a backward step.Hopefully Larne Patrick can step up to the mark ,thought he was too lightweight last season but as someone else posted he has bulked up so heres hoping.

The loss of Mason is significant but if Patrick steps up and performs then that's all we can ask of him. Injuries are part of the game and it gives Larne his chance. He is rated highly, he only knows one direction and he tackles like a demon too. We just need to cut out the penalties because that will really hurt us against Hull if we don't.

Two of us going, had a great trip last season, dont think we will hammer them as much this time but lets hope.

Well it appears that T Alibert is the ref for friday night. Which means anything could happen. Probably prefarable to Ganson being the ref.

Ganson is such an enigma. He was good at Wembley, he was good at Cas the other week. In fact, I've seen him have lots of good games.

However, like many of us, I've seen him have some appalling games.

There's no in-between with him.

Missed the knock on for their first try and the obstruction for their third and did not give us a 50 / 50 decision all day.

I still feel that we need to be two scores ahead of the opposition all day to be in with an equal chance. I feel that with no matter which ref we have. Maybe it is the lack of silverware which makes me think that

I have watched this many times as on the day I thought it was a knock on. Sadly it wasn't and Ganson was right. He also did have a good game at Cas.

Shocking on Friday but still the best ref for me. Thaler and Alibert are far worse

Alibert could end up spoiling what should be a cracking game on friday. Heres to a good turnout and a good competitive match.

Larne Patrick will suprise a few if he plays, very aggressive runner and speedy player, only knows one way,Fartown's Lauaki!! If O'Meely thinks he did some tackling on Friday he is gonna be in for a big shock.
Mason might not get back in if Larne makes a name for himself.

anyone who witnessed the crunchers he laid on Fozzard and Graham at saints coupled with the hooooowge hits that Cussack and Luaki were handing out then i think it is the Hudds front row that will be in for a big shock..
oh and then a little matter of Fitz and Manu coming in third man that pretty much finished off the saints threat after 15 mins...
Non of this saints were crap rubbish the facts are that the big hits levelled all the game players they had and thus they ran out of steam..

Picked our tickets up today. Can't wait to visit again the only stadium in Superleague better than ours. Looking forward to a great game and fantastic atmosphere, with a Giants win of course

the giants have patrick (more than likely) raleigh, crabtree and griffin. Hardly players that a backward step and all know how to put in the big hits

follow that up with fa'alogo, gilmour and faiumu and both teams are in same position.
