Interesting game this, both clubs will be smarting from close cup losses. Hull have home advantage with a significantly longer recovery period between games and I think we should be looking to win this fixture, assuming we can sort our right edge defence out which has been awful this season and a real Achilles heel for us. If we can be in the game with 20 to go your team should fatigue with the short turnaround and we should go onto win it. Ellis back and Ferres out only strengthens this argument.

With the game on TV and on a Thursday night, I imagine an even poorer away attendance by Huddersfield than usual, which would be disappointing considering you finished top of the league last year.

The turn around is a joke especially going into the Easter double header, it's the clear problem on tv running the sport, the bbc should have been told that Huddersfield and hull were unable to play on the Sunday because of a prebooked game on the Thursday. Even if our game yesterday was played on the Saturday hull would still have an 48 hr advantage but at least you would have a more normal 5 day turn around

We couldn't play Saturday because Huddersfield Town were playing, so Friday would have been the only other option, which wasn't an option once BBC had picked the game to show live.

To be fair to hull and their devious plot hull city played at the kc Saturday afternoon and the premier league say nothing on the pitch 24 hrs before a game. So that gave hull either Sunday and the same 4 day turn around and help them selfs and play the game on Thursday. I know what I would have picked for the good of the team

That rule is a myth/ Dave Whelan rule. However Hull City have first priority on the stadium at this time of the year so they will have said you can't play Friday because we are playing Saturday so as you say it will be Thursday or Sunday.

Id rather have mullaly back than fairbank who has been pretty pants for everyone since he was signed long term.

Definitely need Mullally back, nothing against Fairbank....but I fear that if we have a youngster on the bench again he just isn't going to use them!

I'd like to see Mullally come back to the Giants soon, with the busy Easter schedule coming up and having the short turn around this week I can see injuries happening.

I think with the unexpected loss of fooey and larne (expected to be back at Easter) having switched to second row mullally would be a very welcome addition- unfortunately I don't see it happening unless we have a serious front row injury problem. Get Johnson on that field for me!

I agree...Mulally is getting game time, Johnson isn't, leave AM where he is and lets start using our talented youngsters rather than just avoiding giving them game time.
