Quote ="brearley84"i dont believe we will win enough to be in the top 8 now no.
in your earlier post you wrote
''Getting relegated might be the best thing for the club, or it might be the end of it, either one would be better than the sorry state it's been in for years.''
so being relegated or relegation being the end of the club is better than what we have now??? sorry i wont agree that not having a club is better.
so it hasnt 'come out of my head' as you say as you have written it unless you meant something totally different but cant see how.'"
Yes i did say that brearley but that is not the same as saying i don't want a team in Huddersfield, ( which is what you said ).
I happen to believe that something as drastic as getting relegated or even going bust and starting over may be the only way that things ever change.
There used to be people who talked about Huddersfield being the sleeping Giant, I would say that for most of the last 60 years they have been in a Coma.
I don't know how long you have watched them, Myself i started when Murphy was the coach but it sounds like Crackerjack has been turning up for more than double that time , God knows how he has stuck it that long.
I was at Odsal in 1962 when they last won the Champs, I was supporting the opposition that day but Huddersfield won it Fair and square, and that sadly was the last time they won anything of any note.
They have had the chance to get out of the doldrums under the ownership of Mr Davy but they have well and truely blown it, Since A Murphy only Nathan Brown has shown the way to do it , and after that went pear shaped we were going backwards in our style of play so fast that we lost somewhere in the region of 3.000 fans despite lifting the Hubcap.
But fine if you would be happy to turn up to watch today's equivalent of the team that used to pull in the famous 300 in the lower league, good for you I wouldn't, If we could have a fresh start and showed some potential to be a half decent club, then yes, but another 50/60 years of what we get now both on and off the field, no thanks.
We had our chance to get back up there with the big boys and we missed it . Now is the time to sort the club before it's too late, If the powers that be don't make some very serious changes soon , the club will get exactly what it deserves, and you might well get to be one of the 300 that still turn up.
