Will be a big loss to the Giants. I wouldn't say his heart wasn't in it at all. He's led our line for many a year and been targeted by the biggest forwards going and this has taken its toll on his body and he's realised that this is the time to stop as the more hammer his body takes could lead to serious consequences in later life.
From being an England regular, a pundit on BBC to many photoshoots and promotional SL appearances he's probably promoted the Giants and Huddersfield more than any player or coach could dream of.
Good luck to Big Eorl in the next chapter of his life and I just hope we keep him on in some capacity as his huge frame, bent nose and long golden locks are recognisable the world over in Rugby League. He'll be a big loss and someone that will be hard to replace.
