Does the Sportsman have a TV? Slubbers is a bit of a walk if you're on the Ale Trail. Herbert's on Cross Church Street has a TV. The Head Of Steam [at the station has a TV but also can have crap beer. Vulcan down St Peter's Street shows a lot of sport - but there';; be no chance if Town are at home.
Most pubs in town do have real ale, it's a case of finding one with a telly.

many good memories and where (at ????? years old) I had my first HALF pint o Bentleys Yorks bitter!!
