Quote ="meast"How anyone can claim a coach who took over a mid table team and turned is into a well respected team contesting the top 4 each season and 2 cup semi's a first wembley appearance in 40 years,a team that has beaten leeds at headingley for the first time in 50 years, then to do it in succesive seasons,a coach who has brought through some young quality british and local talent and had us playing some cracking stuff and turned is into sometimes feared opponents for the top clubs, can be considered a disaster is beyond me, were all entitled to our opinions and i respect that, yes he's done some bad things and got things wrong but i prefer to see the bigger picture,it's sad that it ended like this but i certainly appreciate what he's done for us over the last 4 years'"
Cant disagree with any of that!
Brown has been good for the club and if we had won on Sun then these type of headlines would not have appeared and we would all be saying that the challenge cup was the one we all really wanted.
Yes he has made mistakes - as we all do - but you can never doubt the fact he did what he felt was the right thing to do. I wish him all the best at the Saints and it will be interesting to see how the Giants react to a NB Saints team.
