Quote ="Danril"I'll leave being a moron to you, you're doing ever so well.
You've been wasting your time ever since you came with no real foundation for any of your opinions.
You want Ken Davy to do something because you feel it is morally and ethically the right thing to do and then use morally and ethically dubious means to try and achieve it. ATEOTD the share issue is a business issue. It's not exactly morally right the bankers of Government owned institutions get whopping salaries and bonuses either. Why not print some t-shirts about that whilst you're at it, Billy'"
You're basically saying because something is legal, regardless of its morality - it should be accepted as is and we shouldn't challenge the status quo.
If you'd noticed people are protesting about the bankers too, because it isn't right. Hence why there's been an uproar regarding the Government-owned bank rewarding huge bonuses to its men at the top. Which has resulted in one or some of them not taking them. So what you've done is make the point that what we're doing is in vain, then proceeded to back it up with an actual event whereby a victory was achieved because people questioned the morality of it and protesting the case (pressure in the press in this case among other things), so at least we do agree with each other in that I'm wasting my time - you could argue with yourself.
Call me Billy more, it really affects me. In retrospect it really puts me in my place and adds much more weight to your argument, kudos.
Quote ="Danril"No, you are saying that the officials should have seen into the future to tell you what the pitch would be like at 9.30am on a Saturday morning and then announce it the day before because you think the world revolves around HTFC.'"
I guess what I'm saying if there was 50% chance or more that the game could have been called off (imo) it should have. Even if they called it off on the Fri then on Sat it was suitable, it saves lots of wasted journeys and money that in this current climate could be better spent elsewhere. I don't think the world revolves around HTFC, but I think football revolves around the fans, or if thanks to Sky and the PL it doesn't - it should.
