Trouble is with the footie is you get big patches of worn areas, which ruins the surface, which is fair enough, the pitch is for sports to be played on ATEOTD.
What I object to is the nonsense some footie fans spout about the state of the pitch is down to the rugby, 1 footie damages it more, and 2 we play in the growing season by large footie does not!
As someone who has been on the pitch i must say it looked and felt absolutely superb ...it looked like astroturf but felt like i was walking on sponge and for the guys who like running it will be a pleasure to play on i'm sure.
