| TBF i think everyone knew he would be leaving due to his injury problems in recent times.
Cracking players for us but he hasn't been the same player in the last couple of years.

| He is only 29 so has a couple of years left, would be a decent signing for any club if he remains injury free.

| think we all knew he was going this season
a loss yes but he maybe it is time to move on, still struggling with that knee and got kirmond coming back next season to replace him... aspinwall has also proved a very good second rower
wild had a blinding season few years back which earned him a GB spot but form gone abit downhill since.
great servant over the years though just like whatuira but players move on... and in both cases we have the replacements anyway..
can see these two players taking up a good chunk of the salary cap too

| I would be too sentimental to make decisions like this. Has been a great servant for our club. I will never forget that time hechased the player back and stopped a certain try ( he did this on many occassions).
Always gave 100%.
Despite this time catches up with everyone.
wherever he goes and whatever he does i wish him alll the best and would gladly buy him a pint if i bumped into him.
Thank You and good luck Stephen Wild.

| i have a great memory of wild scoring a long distance try v catalans at home... won us the match in the final minutes... his legs just looked to be going infront of him and the rest of his body being dragged along !
one of our fastest players when he actually gets into his stride.

| Certain to go down with injuries each game, but a fantastic player and great athlete who will always have my respect.
One of the commentators in the CC semi made a point that summed him up perfectly...79 minutes played, 30+ tackles and he is still the one chasing fastest and hardest to score the winning try.
A Class act Ste Wild.

| For some reason I seem to think we was going to Hull FC. No idea why I believe that - but I just wonder if this has changed with Tickle turning his back on his agreement to come to us.

| Surely one of the most professionalplayers ever to wear aC&G shirt his dedication and inspiration to those around him is immense. Phil Clarke said on the SL show a copuple of years ago he would be the first name down on his team sheet.I wish him all the best for the future. Perhaps he could stay on a pay per play agreement?

| If he stayed on a pay per tackle basis he would probably be the top earner at the club. If this is definite then surely he will get a decent contract elsewhere.
