Widdop would be nice but is inexperienced. The other two, no ta. Lockyer is older than Brett IIRC and Hohaia suspect under the high ball IMO.

I'd go with Leroy and sign a winger - assuming McGilivary's [sp defence isn't up to SL standard.

Owen has complications with his broken leg, apparently the wound has become infected. Fitzpatrick is IMO not up to it at the upper level of SL.

We may as well stick with Cudjoe than Fitzpatrick IMO. Owen, well, he would have to prove his fitness first. Browny like his FB's to be involved in the ball play as well and I'm not sure Owen could do that.

33 tries in 70 games for Owen suggests otherwise. I'm sure the healthcare that he has will give him access to basic antibiotics to stop and cure any infection.

Not seen anything of young Widdop but he is a Halifax lad originally so if he did want to come back over here we may have a chance but i would imagine he will stay in Australia.

Lockyer is too old and is a stand off now not a full back.

Aye he does look tiday but it would surely put Leroy's nose out of joint unless Brown discusses the merits of him becoming a winger permanently. Leroy seems to have his heart set on FB though.

We do not need a replacement FB Cudjoe should now be given his chance, and l mean NOW, we also have back up long term in Elliott Hodgson, short term in David Hodgson, and Grix, lf we are to replace Brett with another Overseas player which l am sure we will, l would go for a prop, , or winger.
RE the likes of Lockyer, it would be great for the club, raise our profile and put bums on seats, which at present is a concern, although he is nocking on the halfbacks dont get as much stick as a FB, the downside would be that Kevin Brown, one of our most improved players this season would probably be a casualty, so l would rather we pass on Locky. We do need a high profile replacement. l think we are sure to get one. Who????

I know our crowds don't seem to be significantly up this season but I reckon our revenue from the crowds will be.

So not all doom and gloom in that regard IMO.
