Monty, I wouldn't say he is stealing a living, he had a decent game against Wigan, but I agree we can get a better player for his money he is on, trouble is he is contracted for 2018.

He not a stand out player when he not playing we not missed him that's why he come cause was offered two year deal and everyone else was offering one there a few in team the coaches are doing best get rid of the handful of players

My understanding was that although he is non-federation he is not counted on the quota. I may be wrong though as I'm not 100% certain.

Watched Stewart closely. He has been organising both the attack and defence. He does a lot without being spectacular. Always in the top two in the tackle count. I'd rather have him in my team than against my team.

By the way, we can't just pay players off to get rid of them. All contracts that are "paid off" count towards the salary cap.

Well, we know that Dayne has announced his retirement & that Tonga's contract will expire & not be renewed, but I have already discounted them.

Unless the 2 Frenchmen don't count *being Europeans* then someone has to leave by other means !

Well if an NRL stand-off is due in before the 8's,the only way to accommodate that is to pay Tonga a couple of months wages owed.Same with Dayne his retirement might be before the end of the season..

That wasn't what we had. Pretty sure that is the rule. 7 non fed players, upto 5 of them can be overseas. It is in the rfl collection of pdfs on their website but I can't be bothered to search it from my phone.

Your're right Lachlan Burr was on special dispensation, but how about this, one from left field, British players that aren't quite cutting it in the NRL or not playing enough minutes. Greg Eden ripping the competition apart at Castleford, played 3 times for Brisbane, 1 year stay, Joe Burgess Sydney roosters and Souths (Souths did offer him an extension but he went back to Wigan) 1 year stay, Jordan Turner now back at Huddersfield and looking like the player we all knew he could be, 8 months at Canberra. All i'm saying is players like Joe Greenwood, Dan Sargison and Elliot Whitehead, have struggled this year, maybe through injury i'm not sure and Whitehead did have a stella first season at Canberra. We could also look at the Wayne Bennet playbook and get somebody who's granny once visited Blackpool and holds a British passport, McQueen for England ?

I'm sure there many more knowledgeable than me on what players can claim to be from the EU, or developement zones, suggestions would be welcome.

No they do not count. France are part of the RL Fed, or whatever it's called.
