They are all grasping at straws the RFL will decide, Allan Rowley will say publically what we are all thinking, get pillorised again and blamed for everything, you can see it happening.
Me I'd go straight to court over it not in the attempt to be in the Championship but to show how weak then RFL rulings are.

And you would be looking at a million plus bill with a pay up win or loose situatuation. As a single club doing it it's a non starter but if the whole of the leagues or even two thirds turned against the RFL they would crap themselves. It's about time the club chairmen really started to get their heads together seperately from Redhall and find a solution that benifits everyone. It's the oldest trick in the book seperating a group to defeat it. It's the first thing they do in interogation isn't it Fred.

well if you can't see that the rules and how they were brought in are unfair , if you bother to read the post properly the bit about not being in the championship is a clue, I have never ever said that we didnt deserve to go down I only 'grumble' as I am quite entitled to do so on the injustice of a club being allowed to go into liquidation yet have hance of staying in the higher league when they knew that they were unable to continue in the higher league due to the lack of funding, and 'playing' the timing of it so it comes days after the season ended.

If there is any justice we will stay in the Championship. If not then as Basil says it just makes the challenge that little more challenging!!! Bring it on I say!

I don't doubt that you think we "deserve to go down" (tho I don't think we did considering number of wins etc or at least very unlucky

). A club wasn't allowed to go into liquidation and rules changed after, because its happened before so rules as they are is Gateshead stay up less 9 points and we are relegated as we knew already.
But rumour (:winkicon_smile.gif has it Gateshead may want to go in C1 to rebuild and we want to go in championship for obvious reasons. Should RFL go by rules, or bend them to allow clubs decide which league they want to go in?
Simples, can't see any going to court scenario's there. As for the timing, lets face it at the moment any club could do the same thing including us if AT gets to a point where enough is enough.
AT seems to be committed and we obviously appreciate it, but Gateshead should be a warning to our stay away fans to support the club too whichever league we are in.

My mate and his son are Saints fans and they got Leigh season tickets last year so they could watch a decent game on a Sunday afternoon in relative comfort. If we stay up they will get a season ticket for next season, but, if we go down then they'll be getting one for Saints.
Unfortunately Superleague vs NL1 for a few extra quid, who can blame them.
