Thems the breaks as they say. Dewsbury lost. Its not our fault that the RFL wouldn't let you rearrange, although it could have been as we only have a two day turnaround over easter due to going to Toulouse on the Friday. If the RFL had allowed you to cancel then they would have had to let us move our Easter Monday game.

I didn't see the incident but the Dewsbury fans did not seem to be annoyed about it at the time.

Its time Leigh asked the RL to look at his performance when reffing our games? His Penalty decisions against Leigh were predictable,i.e. every set of six!!. I said I would not go to watch Leigh when he was reffing in Yorkshire as the last time he was exactly the same! Ian Millward cannot be satisfied with Leahy's performance, Chris Hill wasn't and, got sin binned for telling the t@@ser!
Strange, Senior was only penalised for the same offence against Melbourne! consistency eh

It does appear from the DVD that Hill was put on report in that Leahy did the crossed wrists over the head business yet didnt do the captains and touch judge bits, i will have to watch it again (couldn't go not too well) to see it properly.

If Chris Hill was sin binned for foul play then that is a joke! I didn't see the incident however, I did see the 'High Shots' Dewsbury put in!
We have got to sort this defence from high kicks last night was pathetic

every time Dewsbury kicked they scored! if players, don't have the ability/confidence to catch the ball, palm the ball into touch or over the dead ball line


We are spending a lot of time on opponents line without any reward and we need to improve that.

All well and good blaming the officials for the penalty count, but we've really got to improve our discipline. Dewsbury certainly found our weak spot with the kicks to the corner, but we got there in the end.

I thought that you would have won very easily to be honest given the strength of the team that we put out - no superstars at Dewsbury, just honest Joes, so we have a fairly shallow squad. either a couple of your better known players didn't fancy it or they thought that it would be easy as well. Given that, realistically, your only chance of a SL franchise bid is to win this comp i would have expected a more fired up performance.

A few are blaming the ref but that's just lazy and uncritical: he didn't drop too many balls or let the ball bounce from the kick. The team on paper looked better than the performance - you will be very pleased with your dual-contract players during the season though; some of their performances looked very promising.

Well I for one am not blaming the Ref for the dropped balls however, he was responsible for the favourable field postitions your 'reserves' enjoyed

Why, its only a tin pot trophy, just ask your coach. Its was very good of him to let us win to still leave us with the two chances that will allow us to apply.

Leahy was a complete joke last night. Can I just ask what the rule is when awarding a penalty when not being square at the play the ball? Is the penalty from were the play the ball was on were the defensive line was? Twice last night Leahy marked it at the defensive line.

The penalty is on the 10 yard line where the player should have been (as he was not a "marker" due to the failure to align).

Hope this makes sense!

We will struggle on any pitch that isnt full size, more so when in winter. We need a fast game and a ref who applies the rules evenly.
Dewsbury will be hard to beat on the tiny cabbage patch they play on, even when clueless last time up they didnt get hammered at home very often.

I presume that the ref applying the rules evenly means giving everything to Leigh. Considering that you won you lot don't half whinge - and you wonder why most fans in the Championship don't like you.

Hope you can cut it with the bigger boys in Championship1 and that rather than going the season undefeated that you dont go the wole season without a win
